Phana's POV

Every day I talked to Yo during his practice for the Moon and Star Competition. Every day, I spied on him when he went on errands and spent time with his friends. I tried to be included whenever possible, but I still hadn't worked up the courage to ask him out again. I didn't want to fail as miserably as I did last time.

Today was the start of regular classes, but Yo was excused until the end of the week, when he would participate in the competition. Friday was the competition, Saturday and Sunday were the Freshman Games and then we'd all have to settle into our school routine. That meant I had this week to figure out as much as possible about Yo's schedule before he was attending classes regularly.

I'd spent the last hour searching for him, but he wasn't in the Science building, the Engineering building, or the Moon and Star practicing area, so I wasn't sure where else to go. Most of the freshman were doing team building exercises with others from their faculty and going to classes to find out what would be expected. The only other activities were helping get ready for the Moon and Star Competition and the Freshman Games. I had no clue where else to look, but thankfully I saw Ming and Forth walking away from the Engineering Faculty together.

"Hey," I ran up to Forth, "where are you two going?"

"We're meeting Yo for lunch at the Art Faculty," Forth answered. Yes! I found him!

"Why would he be at the Art Faculty?" I asked.

"Yo actually has a double major, he's a music major as well," Ming answered me. I can't help but smile as I realize I'm a step closer to figuring out how to find him all the time. I wonder what instrument he plays?

"Can I join you?" I asked. "I'll invite Kit and Beam as well."

"Sure," Ming said, looking at Forth who shrugged and said, "Whatever."

I sent a quick message to Kit and Beam letting them know where to meet us. When we arrived, Yo was sitting with two guys. One about my age and the other was at least five years older than me, they both had brown hair, brown eyes, and were way too good looking to be allowed near my Yo. They were talking to him and he was laughing and smiling at them. Why is he always surrounded by people?

The table is covered with a variety of food, probably enough for ten people. Yo and his two friends are already eating. We walked up just as Kit and Beam joined us.

"Glad you could all join the party," Yo said as we all sat down. He started handing out utensils and plates, there was enough for everyone which confused me.

"Were you planning on us?" Beam asked, filling his plate.

"Yo likes to plan ahead," the younger guy that was sitting with Yo said. "People are always coming to talk to him, so he makes sure to have lots of food available."

People are coming to talk to my Yo and sharing lunch? Ugh, I hate people. Why can't they just leave him alone? He's mine!

"Ming texted me and let me know you were coming," Yo said, rolling his eyes. Well, that's okay then.

"This is my friend Tan," Yo said, indicating the younger guy. "He's Kao's little brother."

We all nodded our hellos. Yo acted like we were supposed to know Kao. He looked familiar, but I wasn't sure where I had seen him before.

"Who's Kao?" I asked Kit in a whisper. "Are we supposed to know him?"

"The older one," Kit said, as if that part wasn't obvious. "No idea if we're supposed to know him or if Yo just wanted us to know that Tan's his brother. I've seen him with Yo before."
