"You may now kiss the bride."

The crowd erupted in cheers for the newly wed couple that were oh so in love with each other. Their blissful smiles reflected the serene sky on this fine sunday evening, the perfect day for a wedding. The dashing groom lifted her veil, opening the curtains to a face that no longer resembled a poignant rainfall, but a sunlit sky. He kissed her gently on the lips and promised to himself that he would shield her away from the dark no matter what, because after all, she was his remedy and so was he to her.

Minseo clutched the strong hand of her husband and her gaze bore stars into his. Tears trickled slowly, tracing her cheeks as she thought about the time he helped pull her out of that sorrowful hole, by being in it as well. In a way, they healed each other by healing themselves, or maybe the other way around. Months after Minseo's soulmate left, she broke apart. Like how a paper can't conceal its jagged edges once it's torn into half. However, she found someone to fix her a bit, someone she would bet her life on.

"Namjoon ah, thank you for staying by my side all these years," she whispered into his left ear as they slow-danced to whatever song Taehyung chose, he had a knack for romantic playlists.

"I feel like I should be saying that to you instead haha."

"Do you think Seokjin is watching over us?"

"You better not be saying that when we're fucking."

"Nam- oh my god STOP!"

"Hahaahahaha ok ok. I think he would be happy, to see that you're happy, he cared most for you after all."

Minseo stayed silent for a while. "Sometimes I can't help feeling guilty about moving on."

"You mean you want Seokjin to continue seeing you in agony?"

"No I mean, me staying alive, continuing a great life when that was never an option for him. When I could've accompanied him in his world."

"It wasn't even your decision to make, Minseo. He knew you loved him, that you would sacrifice yourself for him. And Seokjin isn't the type of person that likes people to sacrifice for him either, its always the other way around, you know how he is."

"I hope he knows we miss him," Minseo said with a little sniff while she tightened her arms over Namjoon's back and leaned against his hard chest, hearing his heartbeat resonate with hers.

"Oh I know he does."

*****

Seokjin smiled watching his best friend and the love of his life slow dancing. In fact, he's been smiling while watching them grow close over the past few years. His death left behind more dents then he wanted, and too him, most of them were his fault, especially for Minseo. He felt guiltier getting her to help find his murderer than he should've for leaving her in this world with no one. His death hung in the air heavy with messed up feelings and unsaid words

But thankfully, his best friend who was also hurt, was there to mend her fragmented heart, and in the process had woven their souls into the most intricate piece of caricature. It didn't matter that she was in love with someone else, she was in love, she moved on, and that was enough.

"I guess it's my time to leave."

The very very end

Author's Note

Please forgive me for my lacking in punctuality and quality. I've just entered college and life just got the best of me, and it didn't just steal my time, but also my passion. I've been struggling to find joy in a lot of things that I used to love doing, and I shamefully admit that I haven't finished a single book in 3 months. Yes. 3 months. However I'm trying to reignite my passion that hopefully isn't buried forever in the embers. I have a few self projects within and outside of writing that I wish to embark on because I believe self exploration is very important for a meaningful life. I'll also edit this epilogue in the future because I find it lacking in many aspects, I just don't now how to as of right now and really didn't want to put the epilogue on hold, that would just be breaking my promise.

Love you lots, yall have been greater motivators for me than you know, and I'm forever grateful for that.

Bye!
