courir / kuʀiʀ / verb.
in english : run
meaning : move at a speed faster than a walk, never having both or all the feet on the ground at the same time"Good afternoon I'm looking for Park Jung Hyun."
"Yes that's me, is there a problem?" The tall man dressed in a grey sweater asked Minseo. For some reason, he looked antsy, maybe he just wasn't in the mood?
"Hi, my name is Minseo and I'm an assistant for Detective Kim. I just want to ask you some questions regarding the apparent suicide of Kim Seokjin at Greyhound Oaks."
"Ok...but why am I involved in this?"
"Well seeing as you live quite nearby to the forest and your son is friends with Mr Kim, we thought maybe you heard or saw something the night of his death?"
"Are you accusing me of killing Seokjin?"
"Oh no no, don't get me wrong, Sir, I just need to collect information from this particular area as it's quite close to Greyhound Oaks. Sorry if it sounded offensive," Minseo quickly defended herself.
"Ok, well come in." Minseo and invisible seokjin stepped into his house.
Mr. Park brought minseo over to the sofa in the living room and sat on the chair opposite her, a coffee table separating the two. Seokjin on the other hand, went into the basement of the house to look for clues.
"So Mr. Park, can you explain what was your relationship with Seokjin?"
"He was one of my son's best friends. Good kid. I mean, I didn't really approve of my son's friends but Seokjin was....acceptable, I guess. Greeted me everytime they came around, very polite."
"Ok, and where were you and what were you doing the night of Seokjin's death, at about 1:17am?"
"I was in my room sleeping."
"Was there anyone with you?"
"No, my wife, she's on a business trip in France. So its just me and Jimin at home. I think he was out late with friends that night, though."
"Ok. Did you hear or see anything suspicious the night of his death?"
"No I didn't, and I really don't see the point of asking all these questions. Wasn't it already finalised that his death was a suicide?"
Seokjin nudged Minseo at this moment. He's being defensive.
"Yes sir, but please understand that we are trying to rule out all possibilities of his death. I'm very sorry if I have disturbed you, um, I'll leave right away. "

"I don't know jin, he seems to not hate you. He even praised you for your behavior!"
"Can't you see that he's hiding something minseo? You ask something and he immediately gets antsy. "
"I just can't see him as the sort of person to kill someone because they're friends with their son."
"You're so innocent, Minseo. There are a lot of people in the world that don't look like the type to kill their son's friend but ends up doing so."
"There are?"
"Yeah I guess, I don't know, ask google."
"You're being delusional. I'm sure it was just some psychopath that wanted to kill you."
"Ok but that isn't the point. I found something in Mr. Park's basement. And I think it has something to do with my death."
"What did you find?"
"Rope. A bundle of it."
"I'm sure a lot of people keep ropes in their house."
"But-but , his rope it wasn't just a bundle of rope, it was kept under this...plastic box. Under! Like he was trying to hide the rope or something. It looked like it was shoved forcefully under the heavy box."
"Was the store room messy?"
"Yeah."
"Maybe there wasn't any space to keep the rope?"
"Minseo-ah you can't keep doubting my words. Please believe me."
"Ok fine, we won't rule out Mr. Park."
"Good. We shouldn't."
Minseo and Seokjin continued strolling down the path. Greyhound Oaks was right beside them now, with some leftover yellow taping from the suicide scene.
"This place used to be so serene and peaceful. Now it appears to be a haunted forest," Minseo stated.
"I feel sorry for the people around here. I hope they don't think I'll haunt them or something."
"I'd feel lucky to be haunted by such a handsome ghost."
"Are my ghost ears playing with me or is Minseo flirting?"
Minseo proceeded to send Seokjin the goofiest wink she could muster, causing Seokjin to cringe and laugh at the same time.
"You're so weird."
"I know, and I bet that lady agrees with you."
A middle-aged lady was jogging down the path opposite to them and sent a grotesque expression to minseo.
"She's never seen anyone talk to a ghost before, I guess," Seokjin replied.
"What a loser."
"Hahahaahahaha."
As they continued strolling, something in the corner caught Minseo's eye.
"Wait a minute...is that a camera?"
"Yeah, they put cameras along these streets because accidents often occur. Used the footage for investigation."
"That's it, Seokjin!"
"What? Why are you so excited?"
"We can look at the footage that night and see who passed by, dumbass!"
Seokjin lightly pushed minseo's head (although it didn't move) with an annoyed expression etched on his face. "Yahh don't call me dumb."
"We can go to the police station and get the footage. I know where they keep all the records."
"Good, let's go now."
"Now? No it's too early now. The detectives are against me being involved in this case. We have to sneak in at midnight."
"We're going to break into the police station at midnight?
"Yeah, it's fine. I kinda stole the keys from my friend so we're good."
"You know i'm a ghost right? If anyone's getting caught and fired, it's you."
"Worth a try."
