KYLE'S P.O.V.

She dropped in front of him.

Mum? What's wrong? M-um, p-lease wake up.”

There was nothing-–nothing but silence.

Maybe she can't hear me; he quickly got down on his knees, his hand automatically reached out for her face- Ahh- She's not breathing. I hurt her, I...I... let the demon drive...I messed up-

An angry growl came out of someone, followed by angry shouting but he blocked them out –mum has to wake up. I have to find a way–

Suddenly, one, two, three, four...Punches after punches. A skull cracked, a rib broke, the shoulder finally dislocated– good riddance

GET AWAY FROM HIM!” A loud voice cried out and it all ceased.

Why did it end so soon? The punisher has to complete the punishment, the criminal –demon–deserves it all, he can't walk away from his penalty so effortlessly, he has to pay!

Please get away from him, you're going to kill him.”

Someone begged?! Why would anyone try to save the demon who killed his own mother? Who could be so ridiculous?

There can't be any peace for the wicked... He deserves to die...

The demon's eyes began to blur, every noise became a distant whisper, it was time to let go.

This was it...the punishment was about to be completed...the demon had no right to live amongst Angels...It was high time it got sent back to the pit of hell where it crawled out from.

******

Sudden flashes of blue light danced all around me. My broken ribs began to mend, my skull felt less cracked. Every pain in my body suddenly faded away and my eyes began to clear up again. What was happening? Who was committing such an offense? Why would anyone want to keep me alive? I did absolutely nothing to deserve this.

“Kyle?” The demon rescuer was breathing heavily. “Kyle, please wake up dear.” She sounded exhausted. I blinked a couple of times, and slowly, the images in front of me finally came together to formed one.

Next to me stood a very familiar-looking woman staring down at my face. Her eyes were warm and filled with lots of concern for...me?

“Kyle. Sweetheart, you need to snap out of it, this is not the time.” She said, watching me with many worries, just like Ma...

“Oh, God!” I immediately jacked up from the floor, groaning from the intense pain that followed— my injured shoulder and arm for some reason, refused to heal like the rest of my body—,My head spun as I sat completely still in the middle of the small room and tried to assemble my jumbled mind.

What was happening? Why was I lying down here? “Mum!” I cried out but the strangely familiar-looking woman quickly fell to her knees, pulled me into her chest, hugged me tightly, and began to sob without explaining a thing.

“Calm down dear, your mother will be fine,” she said, terrifying me to no end.

Her actions and words confirmed what I knew deep down but refused to acknowledge

“What do you mean?” I asked, still adamant to remain oblivious. She opened her mouth to speak but suddenly paused on the account of the doorbell that I soon realized had been ringing for quite a while.

“I will be right back dear.” she stood up from the floor and quickly fled out of the room.

I stared after her as she disappeared from my sight and it finally sunk in–it wasn't a dream, after all. The horrible nightmare I had a while ago was nothing but the truth...I really did attack my beloved mother. I lost it on ma; I let my self-control slip, I let the demon inside of me take the wheel, and she was now paying for my mistakes.
