KYLE'S P. O. V.
"Really? A motel? Pfft, I guess Daddy's rich boy isn't so rich after all." Becky huffed, her arms crossed, as she stared at the dilapidated motel sign with some of its letters dangling from the signpost and its red lights short-circuiting.
“What happened to 'I have money, we're going to a hotel,' Huh?" She added in a mocking tone as she turned to glare at Matthew, which only served in enraging him further.
“Goodness, I can't believe I left all those nice hotels lined up back there and chose this rundown place at two a.m.; my love for this shithole must be pouring out of my ass like glitters,” Matthew's sarcastic tone and hot glare at Becky were the only indications that he was beyond furious, but Becky didn't seem bothered by it.
"Yeah, I suppose. We all know you're a moron." Becky responded with a daring smirk on her lips, and I watched as Matthew's hands trembled and folded into hard fists.
"Cut it out, Becky," I said before Mattew could come up with a brilliant retort that would most likely turn this whole thing into something else. Becky scoffed and rolled her eyes at me before pushing the double steel doors of the motel and walking in without saying anything else to either of us.
"Wow, I can't believe her!" Matthew yelled in annoyance as he watched her walk away, while Albert simply gently tapped him on the back in an attempt to calm him down, and Andrew remained unusually silent.
"Come on, let's just go in," I said to no one in particular as I led Andrew through the double doors of the motel.

As soon as we entered the motel, Matthew had left us standing in the lobby by the door—except for Becky, who was nowhere to be found—so he could speak with the receptionist while we all waited for him in awkward silence.
A few minutes later, Matthew returned to us with a set of keys in his left hand, and at the same time, I noticed Becky emerge from what appeared to be the restroom.
"So, here's what's going to happen," Matthew announced as he lifted three sets of keys for everyone to see. "I was able to secure three rooms for us, so everyone except Becky will have to share." As he explained, he spat out her name as if it were poison in his mouth, and as expected, Becky scoffed and hissed, then walked closer to our group and crossed her arms in front of him.
"I don't like it," she said, glaring at Matthew and immediately capturing our attention.
"Can you tell me what it is this time?" Matthew sounded frustrated, and yet again, she didn't seem bothered; instead, she turned to look at Albert and Andrew.
"One of you cretins can have my room; I'll be sharing with Kyle." She announced in an 'end of discussion tone,' which of course immediately pulled the pin on the already tense situation that had been threatening to explode earlier.
"You know what, I'm so sick and tired of your nonsense!" Andrew erupted by my side, scaring the shit out of me, and then everything else went to hell in an instant.
"No one cares about your opinion, Andrew! Emily instructed me to keep an eye on Kyle, which I intend to do!" Becky retaliated against Andrew, and the argument continued.
The more they fought, the more I felt my self-control eroding. I could feel him taking the wheel, I could feel my body changing, and all I could do was stand rooted in place, desperately trying to keep the demon at bay.
Please stop. Please, Becky, stop.
I chanted in my head as I watched her irritate Andrew the more she opened her mouth.
