A Christmas Letter to You

Dear Amazing Reader,

I think you probably agree that Christmas is an incredible and special time of year by nature. But with all of the busyness that comes with the Christmas season, all of the singing and decorating and shopping and baking and wrapping, sometimes we completely forget to keep the "Christ" in "Christmas".

We have to remember that the carols we sing are praise songs to a holy God, that we don't just give and get gifts because it's fun, or because it's just a yearly tradition, but because it's a representation of the gifts the Wise Men gave to the Christ-Child. The gifts also represent the ultimate Gift - Jesus Himself, God in man's skin, come to save us from ourselves in perfect sacrifice: the death of a Man who had never sinned in His life.

He gave Himself. The very least we could do, as we celebrate this holiday (holy day) by giving gifts, is give Him thanks for all He has given us: eternal life in Christ, even when we can't comprehend it, love that will never leave us, even when we can't feel it, and hope that always remains, even when we can't see it.

To God be the glory.

And merry Christmas!

Much Love,
Brooke <3 💖
