Daryl's POV
" do you mean it Daryl ?" she asked me
" yes Beth I'm just.. scared I've never felt like this with anyone, ever in my life."
" well aren't i special" she said as she stepped up on her tipie toes and kissed me. and as soon as she gave me this sweet innocent kiss i knew that i was falling in love with her and that there was nothing anyone could do about it.
after a few more minutes of walking it was starting to get dark and we needed to find a place to stay for the night.so i suggested that we walk for half an hour more then set up camp if we don't find a house.
* ten minutes later*
"Daryl look its a house" Beth said excitedly
" nice find bethy "
"thanks Dixon "
we walked over to the house and i banged on the door nothing made a noise so i opened the door and started looking threw the house.
" okay you take the kitchen and the dinning room ill take the bathroom and the living room" i commanded Beth
" okay " she replied
we parted our ways when i walked into the living room it seemed like the couch had been slept on and i could smell the smoke from the fire place. someone had been here within the last 24 hours . as soon as i came to this conclusion i heard Beth yell my name.
"Daryl Come here right now "
i ran as fast as i could to the kitchen and readied my crossbow just in case she was in trouble. but what i saw was the complete opposite of trouble.
" oh my god carol tyrese lil' ass-kicker i cant believe we found you" i could hear Beth talking to them and saying things like i can't believe we found you. but all i was thinking is how is carol gonna react to the fact that i love Beth because carol had told me she liked me when we were back at the prison and i told her that i wasn't really into all that love shit.i guess if we just get it out of the way sooner than later it will be better.
" I'm so glad to see you guys" i joined in with Beth . " i missed you so much " carol said as we embraced in a quick hug.
2 hours later
it took us awhile to get caught up but we did.
" well we should be getting to bed we have a big day tomorrow trying to track down the others if we can so well need our rest " carol said with a sleepy look on her face
" um the showers work and there are three bedrooms so i guess ill take the couch and you guys can each get a good nights sleep your gonna need it for tomorrow" tyrese said looking at the two of us with a giving expression
i looked at beth and she nodded and grabbed my hand , as if she was telling me we should tell them.
" actually" i said " that won't be necessary me an Beth can just sleep together its what we usually do anyways right bethy " i said placing a kiss on her head. as soon as carol saw this she quietly speed walked to her room.
"Oh... okay in that case you two can take the master bedroom and we will take the smaller ones so you two don't have to fight for space " tyrese laughed awkwardly at the end
" thanks ty " Beth said and we walked off to bed hand in hand
when we got into the room i saw Beth putting her bag down on the bed. i walked up behind her and hugged her
" hey Beth can i talk to you for a second" i ask
" yeah of course. whats up? " she answers
"ok so the reason carol went to her room when i mentioned us was because she had a crush on me back at the prison an i told her i didn't believe in that love shit and she said she was okay with that ,then that day when i came and talked to you in your cell about zach and we hugged she saw and she came over to me and said i know you love her and then she walked awa. please don't be mad at me " i said all of this well still holding on to her from behind
she then turned around and grabbed my face with both of her hands and kissed me then pulled away and began to speak " why would i be mad at you for someone liking you i understand why she likes you its for the same reasons i like you ." she paused for a moment and looked in my eyes " did you really like me when we were still in the prison"
i looked down a little embarrassed that i had a crush on her for that long "yeah " i answer and slowly looked up at Beth she kissed me on the head and sat me down on the bed " I'm going to go take a shower you are to wait right her and not let your imagination get the better of you Daryl Dixon"
as she walked away i said " awww why not " with a smirk and she turned around and started walking backwards out the door and smiled mouthing the words its your choice.i laughed atour little inside joke then fell back on the bed
after a few minutes of sitting alone in the room i decide to make the bed and get comfortable while i waited for Beth.
all i could think of was that we were on our way to being one huge family again.
