Daryl's POV
" what the fuck are you talking about kid " i asked.
" shes my mom " he replied
" Bella is this Merle's Garth is this my....." i couldn't finish. last time I saw him was when he was 2 months old.
"yes Daryl that's your nephew" she was just starting to cry. I looked down at Garth. he had Merle's eyes,nose and lips but the rest that was all Bella. his deep brown hair the golden hazel eyes all her. I couldnt believe I was seeing him.
" Daryl can I talk to you for a second " Bella called to me as the rest of the group stood in awe. I nodded still not believing what I was just told. I stumble over to Bella.
" what do you need" i ask
" Daryl I'm not going to make it much further and the only reason our smart ass Garth is still alive is cause i keep stopping the rest of them from killing him" she paused and coughed up a little blood " I know its a big thing to ask someone to look after a life but, Daryl please take Garth away from here take him with you. I swear hes a good kid hes just a bit of an asshole before you get to know him"
" Bella I..I..I'll have to check with the rest of the group before I answer you but I will try my best."
she then hugged me very tightly and I just barley hugged back . "thank you so much Daryl"
she then released me, I nodded and walked back to Beth. when I reached her, I could feel her small arms wrap around my waist, and her head lay on my chest. I took in the smell of her bloody blonde hair.
" Daryl are you okay?" she asked keeping her arms around me. I didn't know what to say i was shocked that i had found my nephew in this shit world still alive, what was i going to tell him about his father, how was I going to take care of him.
"Daryl " she said now pulling away and looking in my eyes I could see worry in her eyes.
" yeah Beth I'm fine I just I..I.. I don't know what I'm going to do" I announced to her in a whisper.
" oh Daryl.. it'll be fine we'll figure it out together. Everything will be okay" she paused and wrapped her skinny little arms around me once again."I promise"
we then release and I walk to Rick with Beth's hand in mine.
"Rick the kid.... Garth..my nephews mom Bella wants me to take him with us hes in danger here and she's not going to make it much further and..." I was stopped by Rick
" Daryl you do what you have to" he said then patted my shoulder and walked back to the group.
I walked over to Bella who was talking to Garth. when i arrived she shooed Garth away. " I'll take him with me Bella but I don't know how to tell him that I'm takin' him away from his mama " i explain to her
" I can tell him Daryl thank you so much " she answered with a quick hug then ran off to talk to Garth. i could see tears well in his eyes as his mom explained everything to him. then he hugged her goodbye,grabbed his stuff and walked over to Beth and me.
" are you okay Garth?" Beth asked before we went back to camp. he nodded and we went on our way back to camp.

Beth's POV
we had made our way back to camp and were packing up. Eugene and his group decided to stay with us for awhile, and we were thinking of going down to Calgary Alberta and see what left down there.The plan was that we all get in our car and start done to Calgary, but not straight into the city because we didn't know how bad they had been hit so we were going to go down threw the mountains then cross threw Cochrane an pick up as much supplies as we can.i could tell Garth was upset about leaving his mother, who could blame him its his mom.I hope he feels better about it soon, and hell if anyone know what he's dealing with its me or Maggie. I still miss my father so much.
" Beth we are leaving in two minutes hurry up and tell Garth hes riding with us " Daryl yelled up the stairs to me. " I'll be down in like thirty seconds and Garth already knows" I reply " okay can you also bring a couple pillows down babe " he requested " of course " I yelled as I grabbed three pillows and ran own the stairs and threw all of our stuff in the back of the truck.I hopped into the front with Daryl and Garth jumped into the back seats with some of our stuff.rick then honked signaling for us to follow him. Then we were off to Calgary.
" Hey Beth do you think there will be anything for us in Cochran" Garth asked. his voice sounded crackly like he had been crying. I turned my head to look at him his eyes were puffy an bloodshot,I placed a hand on his leg trying to console him. " I sure hope so Garth" I reply. he gives me a half hearted smile and nods then turns back to looking out the window and i turn back to looking out the front window. About three hours in Garth had fallen asleep and me and Daryl were sitting with our hands intertwined.
" Daryl....we still haven't had that alone time ya know" I whispered to him.
" oh trust me I know " he said with a smirk
" well if you can get us our own room maybe i can make that up to you"I said bending to kiss his jawline and neck,but i was interrupted.
"I'm awake and that's gross " Garth said with a disgusted look on his face.
" whats gross" i paused and looked at Garth then back to Daryl " this"" I said leaving a hickey on Daryl's neck. the whole time Garth sat there saying yuck and and making gross faces.
" you've tortured the boy enough" Daryl said smiling down at me and I released his neck from my lips.
"fine"
