GUINEVERE was starving, but she did not miss to stop by Rafaela's room, where the angel was still unconscious.

Granger was slouched in the bedside cushioned seat, staring blankly at Rafaela's direction.

He had known her far longer than Guinevere had, and it was apparent that Granger, Rafaela and Alucard see each other as family, their bond stronger than any blood relation there was, no matter how they try to scold and annoy each other.

So Guinevere could definitely understand why Granger looked so sad watching her, his shoulders sagged and weary. She knew her care for her was nothing compared to Granger's.

She swore to herself she won't be back inside until she could think of something to help Rafaela. So she merely passed by the room and came across Lesley's room.

Out of curiousity, she peered through the slightly open door, only to jump back when she met Lesley's gaze inside.

She hastily turned away and was about to leave when Lesley called her name.

She was left with no choice but to walk inside.

Lesley was sitting on the bed, leaning against the headboard.

Guinevere halted when she saw Gusion seated in a couch at the other side of the bed and kept his gaze in the book he had in his hands when she walked in.

It made her recall the last time they talked to each other just to figure out if she did something that could have angered him.

"I didn't mean any disrespect. I just happened to pass by." She explained before any of them could speak.

Lesley smiled, her head wrapped with a bandage and her face pale. "It's alright. How is your shoulder? I heard you dislocated it."

Guinevere glanced at her injured shoulder. "It's recovering fast." She answered. "I trust that you are, too?"

Lesley nodded. "I am. It was stupid of me to try killing Argus with a mere gun. I'm sorry you had to risk your life just to protect me."

She shrugged. "Anyone else would've done the same in different circumstances."

Lesley stared at her meaningfully. "I could definitely see what Gusion was talking about." She looked at Gusion playfully.

Gusion's eyes turned to Lesley threateningly but Lesley's smile just widened.

"What did he say?" Guinevere asked out of curiousity.

"He said you care too much about people."

"Not at all." She disagreed, casting a look at Gusion who was focused again in his book, avoiding to look at her.

"Well, he said you're too impulsive when it comes to the people close to you. But I'm more fascinated by the fact that he dare say that considering he is the most impulsive person there is."

It was obvious that Lesley was teasing him, and Guinevere could see their closeness by the way she chuckled while Gusion kept a blank face as if he was already used to her teasing.

"I didn't really mean anything about it." Gusion explained, his voice rather cold.

Guinevere waved a hand dismissively. "Whatever. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go get dinner."

Lesley nodded. "Thank you, Lady Guinevere."

"There's no need to thank me." Guinevere answered and left the room to head towards the dining area.

She could not stand being in the room any longer with Gusion being strangely distant towards her.

Gusion was quieter and more serious, and she suspected it was because of Lesley's presence. They seem to be really close that Lesley didn't mind if Gusion was being cold. Maybe she was just used to it.
