"Where have you really gone last night with the Lord Gusion, Lady Guinevere?" Aya asked.
Guinevere was with Rafaela and the other lady moon elves who invited them to the small spring just below the village.
"Right. The Lady Miya was so anxious that you two might have been caught by the fairies that she was ready to command her troupes to check the whole forest." Another moon elf, this one a bit cheery and young named Lima, said with her big round eyes.
"We were really just looking around."
Aya nodded. "If they really were captured, they wouldn't be here today. There's no way someone could escape those mischievous little creatures."
The other moon elves nodded in agreement, making Guinevere's fake smile falter.
"Are they really that dangerous?"
"Very. It might just be better for someone to get caught in trap of demons rather than being tricked in those alluring fairies. They feed off even the slightest hint of desire they could see within a person."
Guinevere saw the spark of worry in Rafaela's face as she caught her gaze, and there was a faint crease between her brows as she stared at Guinevere.
"Ahh. It's fortunate we didn't come across them last night." Guinevere faked a chuckle, not even wanting to think about the incident last night. "Anyway, are you sure no one would be peeking at us at this spring?"
"Moon elves are dignified creatures who never resort to such lowly acts."
"Lady Miya." Guinevere said as she looked over her shoulder and saw the moon elf catching up from behind them.
She looked like a normal moon elf without her intimidating bow and arrow slung into her back.
"Lady Miya came to join us!" Lima announced and the five other moon elves cheered happily.
Guinevere and Rafaela exchanged looks as the moon elves excitedly paced towards the spring's direction, carefully descending the slopey path.
"Someone like Granger doesn't have that dignity though." Rafaela muttered as she walked side by side with Guinevere and Miya.
She looked at her with wide eyes. "Granger does that?!"
The angel chuckled. "Not really. But it's not impossible in his nature, don't you agree?"
Guinevere was instantly reminded at the constant smirk in the guy's face and a small part of her couldn't help but agree with Rafaela.
But there had also been times that she had seen him in a different light.
"Well...that guy is undeniably shameless. But he's a good guy."
"You seem to trust your friends a lot." Miya observed, her voice not gentle.
"I don't have a lot." She informed.
"Really, Lady Guinevere? You look like someone who could attract a lot of people around her."
"Looks can be deceiving, Lady Miya."
"I couldn't agree more."
"That's why I thought you hated Alucard last night. I would've really thought so if it wasn't for Gusion who told me otherwise."
Miya's sharp gaze settled on her for a few seconds, as if she was trying to intimidate Guinevere. But she was good at stare-downs herself and just stared back at the moon elf until Miya looked away and scoffed.
"The two of you seemed to have a lot of time to talk."
"We just happened to talk about it. No need to feel honored." Guinevere said sardonically. "So why do you seem to be pushing Alucard away, Lady Miya?" She added, partly out of curiosity and mostly to taunt the moon elf even more.
