Tears started streaming down Guinevere's face the moment she passed by the gates of Castle Grandrock.

Running away from home had exposed her to all the violence and blood that she had been protected from her whole life.

Though she somehow kept up and dealt with all the battles she had been through ever since she rejected the safety of Castle Gorge, she was definitely not ready to see someone who had grown into her being bloody and so close to death.

As she gripped the horse's reins and kicked its side to speed up, she cried and blamed herself for jumping into a fight with Argus.

Had she been careful and had not enganged in a fight with Argus, Rafaela wouldn't have been forced to fight him and ended up being badly hit by Dyrroth.

The wind just dried up the tears in her face even before they could fall down her chin, and only when she had gone halfway to her destination did she calm down.

She surged through the unfamiliar woods of the Azyria Forest, calling out desperately for Harith.

She came across a giant oak tree with curtains of vines draping from its branches when she saw someone familiar over one of its branch.

"Lady Guinevere?" The female Leonin called in her little voice.

"Nana!" She called back, temporarily relieved. "Harith. I need to see Harith."

Nana, with her innocent round eyes, must have seen the urgency in her face because she did not bother to ask the reason she was looking for Harith and just hopped off the branch to land over her horse's back.

"Let's go. Over there."

Nana guided her towards the Leonins' homes and reached it just a few minutes later.

Their homes were inside the trunks of the giant trees surrounding a small field where they laid their necessities.

Harith was on it, sitting around a bonfire together with the other Leonins.

He immediately stood up the moment he saw her slide off her horse and head towards him.

"Harith. We need to go. Rafaela..." Her voice faltered as she panted, the dread again appearing in her chest, her eyes becoming teary again.

She hated herself for being sensitive at such an inconvenient time.

"What happened to Rafaela?" Harith asked.

"She's...she's injured...Dyrroth striked a blow on her. We have to go now!"

Harith frowned. "Lady Guinevere, you need healing yourself."

She shook her head. "There's no time! Let's go!" She insisted stubbornly, trying to ignore the searing pain in her dislocated shoulder that seemed to have gone worse in her gripping the horse's reins.

But Harith must have known she was too stubborn because he nodded in surrender.

"Let's go." Harith jumped towards her horse without any hesitation.

And she mounted over it again, leaving without any delay.

It was already midnight when they arrived back at Castle Grandrock, but the grounds were still filled with people.

One part of the tall fences were in rubbles, and a few towers were now lying in the castle grounds, lessened into smaller boulders, their cone roofs still intact but sprawled tilted on the pavement.

Stretchers were aligned in the middle of the ground, injured demon hunters lying on them while they were treated by healers.

She spotted Bruno and Lolita doing their rounds and checking the injured, the remaining servants of the Vance family helping them. She could feel the gloomy atmosphere of the place, and she panicked when she didn't see the others in sight.
