Guinevere summoned her crane again and was now flying over flights of stairs to get to the top faster, knowing Gusion was keeping up after her.
Now that Alice was out of sight, she was able to regain her focus on what was really important; defeating Dyrroth.
She knew Alice got something against the boys that made them hesitate on killing her, but Guinevere decided to out theatter aside for now.
She would pester them until they give in right after all of this. She wished there were still an after all of this.
It took her all her might to not stop and help on the people fighting outside the castle grounds when she was still on her way to the Palace.
And she couldn't deny she almost lost hope. The empires seemed to be burning into ashes, dead bodies were on the streets, people scrambling away from the fire while the ones who possessed strength tried to protect what was left.
Guinevere was stopped when Gusion grabbed her by the arm, yanking her off her crane.
"What?" She snapped.
"You can't just barge in there without a plan."
She frowned and stared at him, a glint of mischief flashing in her eyes. "Isn't that supposed to be my line? Since when have we switched roles?"
"Since you started being too impulsive? Someone has to use a brain between us, Guinevere, or one of us would end up lethally injured, again."
She turned to him, giving him her full attention as she crossed her arms over her chest. "So? What's your plan then?"
Bewildered, Gusion blinked a couple of times before looking at something else but her. "Well... I was thinking we should use this element of surprise to our advantage."
She nodded, not taking her eyes off him. "Mm-hmm. And how do you suppose we do that?"
"Well....I'll go attack first with my shadow blades. You jump tight in when he gets too distracted in fighting me."
She stood straight and let her arms hang on her sides as she frowned. "And hit you with my Violet Requiem? Bad idea, Paxley."
"I'll blink away the moment you temporarily stun him."
She shook her head. "Nope. Not doing it."
"Guinevere." He said firmly as he glared at her.
But she stared at him defiantly. "It's a bad plan."
"It's the best plan we could come up right now."
"What about I go fight him first and you hide until you could find the right timing to attack? Your advancedment isn't as dangerous as mine."
"No. What if I hit you with my blade instead?"
Her brows arched up. "How? Your aim had always been remarkable."
He frowned but looked away when he realized the compliment which so totally out of timing. "No. Still no, Guinevere. How are you supposed to fight Dyrroth?"
Guinevere was about to argue when she caught a surprised expression flash on Gusion's face, as if he had just realized something.
"What?" She interrogated.
"Nothing." He answered, which was totally unconvincing.
"Can you stop looking so suspicious?"
Instead of defending himself, Gusion stared at Guinevere. Then he sighed and drew closer to her.
