"Princess?"

Widened golden eyes, shockingly gaped at the raven head; plump lips formed an oval shape as it was left speechless at the proud figure standing before her.

"Um... May I ask who you are?"

"I'm the palace's royal wizard"

Lucas stated, smugly puffing out his chest; with a crooked smile crossing her feature, Bella just decided to ignore his proud demeanor.

He reminds me so much of Kiel.

Bella sighed.

"I see. Is the Princess with his Majesty?"

"Probably"

An awkward silence.

The ever so charming Bella merely pouted at the short reply, uncomfortable with the situation she has been dragged into when a ginger couldn't help but chase after its beloved.

And yes, she's talking about Ilene.

"Has the princess already chosen a companion for her debutante?"

Shrugging, Lucas merely focused on the floor, as he comfortably sat on the couch; Bella, on the other hand was standing still near the door, hesitating whether to join Lucas on the couch or leave.

She chose the former.

"Um, may I sit on the couch?"

"Hm? Yeah, sure"

Sitting down, she patted her yellow sundress, smiling to herself as she finally had the chance to relax.

Bella eyed Lucas, who didn't even bother on keeping his appearance respectful infront of the maiden.

She smiled.

That's so like him, she thought.

"Hey you"

Bella's attention snapped towards Lucas.

"Yes?"

"What are you?"

"Excuse me?"

"You're just like her, but-"

Crimson orbs glowed as it scrutinized the beautiful maiden who seemed to realize what he meant.

"Hmm, what do you think?"

"What?"

"What do you think of my existence?"

Deadpanning, Lucas stared wordlessly at the female who sat in such an upright position that he thinks would be a pain in the ass if he did it for just laughs and gags; his eyes wearily gazed at her, locking his red orbs with golden ones that seemed to remind him of a special someone.

He grimaced, his thoughts jumbled up realizing that her eyes glinted with mirth and questioning, yet still seemed to hold quite an enormous amount of innocence and docility.

He was supposed to be annoyed, yet he couldn't help but found her oddly pleasant.

"You-"

Expectant of Lucas' answer, Belle was on the verge of her seat, waiting patiently but was left annoyed at what he said.

"Shouldn't you be looking at his Majesty with those eyes?"

She sighed, slumped down on the couch, not minding her manners towards Lucas.

"He wouldn't care even if I stripped him down to his undergarments with my eyes."

Pouting, she stared at Lucas; his left eyebrow raised questioningly, and his features displaying bewilderment and shock.
