"Come inside, quickly! There might be zombies lurking around!" Hans welcomed them inside the building. They took a step inside, breathing in the cold air. The whole building was cold, inside were air conditioners scattered around the station. "I don't understand, is there still electricity?" Arkin asked, curious about the world's state. "We have solar panels, you can't risk deadly news being shared a day after due to the incompetent power stations." Hans said, drifting away, he must've remembered a past experience about the situation. "Well come on now, I got something to show you!" He exclaimed, walking off to a nearby staircase. They reluctantly followed, seeing no other options. They went up the stairs, right behind Hans' tail, admiring the charts plastered on the wall. Kyle looked closely on one, displayed on the paper pinned on a bulletin board was "Weather" it showed the current... weather, it seemed that several storms were to be expected to come soon. They continued to follow Hans to a room filled with recording gear, short speakers lined up the walls, several computers were up on a heavy table, a single notepad with a black pen was sitting beside a professional microphone. Up on the walls were notes taped on the wall, written on most of them were "Zombies." "Infection." "The bombing caused it all." "The head is the weak spot." "The storms are stronger." "There are safe places." written in an ugly and hurried fashion on the middle of the notes. "So... what's all this about?" John asked while pointing to the notes scattered on the wall, confused about the whole situation. "It is what it is, there's a safe haven out there." Hans' sentence excited Kyle for some reason, was it because they could go back to normal? Safe from the mess they were unwillingly thrown in? Whatever it was, Kyle had hoped that the sudden burst of energy would inspire him long enough to survive until they arrived where ever the safe haven may be. Kyle analyzed Hans a bit more carefully, he was about 5 feet tall, shorter than the Kyle and John, was a white American, and looked like he hasn't slept for a month. Hans could see Kyle thinking, he decided to comment "Yes, I know. I'm not what you expected to see first thing in the morning. But trust me, I have knowledge that can save all of us." He reassured. "No one has replied to me on the radio yet, not now at least. So, I think it's time for us to take a rest." Hans said as he stood up, ushering them to follow him. He led to a room besides the one they went in earlier, it had a pretty long table that could fit all of them, empty plates along with utensils were arranged perfectly on it. "Take a seat, I'm going to bring out whatever unexpired food I can find." Hans said before walking towards the door, exiting the room. John looked to the left, and then to the right, looking for any recording equipment that may eavesdrop on his next conversation. Then, he leaned towards Kyle and asked "Do you think we can trust him?" Kyle wondered, trying to remember if the man did anything to raise suspicion, "I don't know, so far he hasn't acted like he has ulterior motives other than to get us to that... safe haven or something." John then asked the others, they seemed to remain clueless about Hans' true nature as well. "Well I say let's give him a chance." Arkin suggested, "I don't know, but we should keep a closer look on him, we do outnumber him." This came from Justin. Finally, the door swung open inwards to reveal Hans carrying boxes of pizza along with a few bottles of cola. "Breakfast's ready!" He announced excitedly, "Help me out with this, will you?" he then said tiredly, which was a quick turn of moods. John stood up and took the boxes from him and placed it on the table, while Hans opened the cola and arranged it on the middle of the table, right next to the boxes. "Dig in!" Hans yelled with happiness, it was almost as if he hasn't eaten anything for the past week. They each took slices, no order or any limit, just chaos. "Oh man, I haven't eaten for almost an hour, do you know how many minutes that is?" Kyle joked, this time, they actually snickered, but only just a little bit, but it was enough to make Kyle happy. He then realized how sad that is.
