It had been one week after they've finally arrived at their safe haven. Hans slept in the room in front of them, having frequent meetings and disappearing too frequently. It made the group relatively uneasy, was he hiding something?
"I still don't trust that guy." Arkin said while peeking through the narrow opening of their room's door, watching Hans leave his room for the first time this morning.
"Well, no one does. Not us anyway." Justin reassured, walking back and forth, unsure of what to do with his already-destroyed life.
"Come on guys, that... Romeo guy told us that we have been given a 'mission' to do." Kyle reminded.
"First off, it's Romero. Second of all, what 'missionare you talking about? Are you still role-playing as secret agent?" John snickered.
"Hey, I was playing as a cop, also, we were playing Mafia. Don't be salty just because I figured out that you were one of the mafias and killed you off." Kyle hissed back at John, trying to turn the tables back onto him.
"That was one time! One time!" John yelled in frustration.

"He's the mafia! I killed him off! Right, Narrator?" Kyle celebrated, winning the game of Mafia as he finally pinpointed out the antagonists.
"That was not fair! You must've been peeking!" John suspected, throwing any kind of excuse he could come up with at Kyle's face.
"You literally made a 'That's how mafia works' meme on your phone!" Kyle objected.
"How would I've known that you'd peek on my business?!" John was disgusted at Kyle's lack of respect of privacy.
"Enough! Kyle, don't look at other people's phones." Arkin, the narrator of the game, finally intervened.
"Hah! That's what you get!" John laughed, happy to see his playmate get scolded by his other playmate.
"John, you still lost, you loser."
"Damn it!"

Step! Step! Step!
The group climbed down the stairs, heading into the other side of the town. They had already lost track of Hans, their only task for today was to go to the grocery store across the town to ration the food supplies among the villagers that the scavenger group had found earlier. The door creaked open as all four of them stepped outside the hotel. The breeze blew at them, weak, but soothing and refreshing. They walked across the street, their hair being blown to the left by the wind. A crowd was forming outside of one of the houses down the street, excited screams and confused yelling came from the clumped-up group of sweaty people.
"The bloody hell is happening?" Kyle asked, curious to know what may have caused the commotion.
A scream of pain came inside, penetrating through all the noises coming from the outside. John stood up on his toes, hoping to get a better view through the window. He was the tallest of the group, 5'8 tall. He stood on his feet, satisfied with what he saw.
"So... what did you see?" Arkin asked.
"Tell me that I won in Mafia first."
"Oh for the love of... John! That was 8 years ago!"
"Tell me."
"Fine, Kyle cheated, You won. You happy now you immature lamp-post?" Arkin teased
"Very."
"Care to tell us?" Justin butted in, anxious to know more about their situation.
"Oh right. A woman's giving birth." John remembered.
More painful yells came and filled the sky, a pitch higher and half the fort's window would've burst. The four was about to leave until they noticed Hans trying to get inside the house, he was squeezing in with the crowd, stumbling and being pushed around. Hans recovered and changed his style, he forcefully pushed through the bunched-up mob and finally reached the door. The door was opened from the inside, it swung inwards, letting only Hans inside. "Do you think we should be concerned?" Justin asked, trying to keep an eye on Hans inside. "Let's just... continue on with our jobs, there may be trouble if we don't get things done before sunset." Kyle reminded, walking ahead to the store. One last gut-wrenching noise filled the air, followed with joyous celebration and applauding from the ones ahead in the crowd. Arkin looked back to see Hans through the window, carrying the newborn baby high up. He was about to follow Kyle and the rest of the group until one sentence came and killed all of Arkin's doubt about Hans' true nature.

"I hope you grow into a very strong little boy! It'd be a shame if... you were taken."
