-Chapter 16 : Round III, falling down to get caught in your arms-

Author's P.O.V:

The Third Round, even though the senior students had an idea about what this special yet very important Round going to be, but they were forbidden from telling the participants about it.

Everyone was anticipating the arrival of the headmasters in the arena so that the rules and information about this said Round could be provided, basically disclosed at this point because it was hidden for too long, especially for the little boy who was wearing a cute pout, getting so worked up about this Round, well he had his reasons.

Earlier he just wanted to show everyone what he can do but now it is not only limited to that, he now needed to prove Taehyung, and Taehyung only, no one else matters anymore... 

The urgency in Jungkook's demeanor was all due to the yesterday's encounter with the said male, Jungkook had claimed with so much confidence that he is different and he wanted the other one to know that too but there is only one way to prove it and that is to perform well in this last round, atleast he will have the grounds to say that he is not useless as the older thinks of him...

Moving on from what is going inside the human's mind, the silver head's mind wasn't at peace either, but it was for different reasons, his mind was going haywire as how did Jungkook know about his past, the determination on his face was enough to confirm his suspicion when he compared himself to him, that Jungkook knows about his dreaded past, the one he so much wants to forget but he can't, because the images are burnt deep down in his mind, reminding him what he had lost every single time he closes his eyes....

Taehyung can't trust on these humans and after knowing that Jungkook knows about his past is making him more frustrated and angry, after all Jungkook belongs to one of those whom he hate to his core, whom he can never trust, those who are wicked and heartless beyond one can imagine, no matter how much Jungkook disagrees but it is truth, Jungkook can be different but it's in human nature to use others for their own greed, they are malicious and evil and Taehyung can't deny it because he had experienced all of it, the encounter with the human of his past had left an everlasting scar on his mind that he can never get rid off. 

Reminiscing about his past always hurts Taehyung and this time it was no different, rather he was more cold and blank than ever, his face was stoic and his eyes were no more felt alive as if the only colour suited for them is black, his mind was clouded with darkness and hate and as much as he wanted to leave, he can't, he had to stay here until this Ceremony is over, much to his dismay.

It is really amusing isn't it!? That how the one you hate so much becomes the one you can't live without, and Taehyung is somewhat in between this process but his pride and past won't let him accept it...

Jungkook's P.O.V:

I was waiting for the commencement of the last round but my eyes always wandered to him, to Taehyung....why his eyes hold this unending loneliness, his eyes never failed to intrigue me, despite being so dark as if all the colour has left from his life. I couldn't see the most powerful elementalist , the one my eyes were fixed on, was far from that, he was just a broken boy with regret and anger evident in his eyes, the pain that was etched on his face was peeking behind his ever so stoic face, asking anyone to notice his suffering. But i knew what he need is way more than a mere hug of comfort and I am willing to give him everything that he needs. 

I was soon pulled back from my thoughts when I heard the announcement as our Teachers have entered the arena.

"Rise and shine my dear students and I hope all of you are well prepared for today because this last Round won't be easy" Daesung-ssi greeted everyone. Soon Jaehyun-ssi started speaking as he gained our attention towards himself-
