Author's P.O.V:

After they left leaving everyone else in the arena, it wasn't much of a walk to their shared room, Jungkook still kept pulling Taehyung and Taehyung let himself to e pulled shocking everyone who saw them on their way.

After all, it's not a regular scene to witness the most powerful Elementalist at the mercy of a mere human boy, someone so week against someone like Taehyung....

Quite exaggerated right... Though for those who were observant could see and pretty much decipher the light tension around this said pair of mates. And later or sooner something was certainly going to happen, not that it was anything wrong neither it was their business to intervene, but Jungkook had earned himself a lot of admirers.... platonic admirers to be specific who themselves wanted younger to be happy, happy with Taehyung...

It was soon when both Jungkook and Taehyung found themselves in the enclosed space of their room but neither of them knew what to say.

It was not really an ideal time to stay speechless but they both had too many words to say and their mind wasn't in the mood for cooperating... But the silence wasn't defeaning neither was it uncomfortable...

Both decided it would be better to give their legs much needed rest as they decided to finally speak...

"So...you heard me?" It didn't sound as a question rather it sounded like a statement, just needing a reconfirmation...

"Was it true?? All that you said, did you mean it?" Jungkook counter questioned to which Taehyung hastily replied but tone remained firm and poised, filled with warmth.

"Yes. I meant each and every word Jungkook, I...I trust you more than myself, love you more than I could ever love anyone...I am sorry Jungkook, not for loving you but...for hurting you."

Jungkook's eyes watered and heart fluttering at the presence of sincerity in his voice. It didn't take him another second to hug the older whispering a quiet 'i forgive you' in his ears much to older's relief.

A deep sigh left Taehyung's body as his hands curled around his mate pulling him in a tight hug, with the intention of never letting the other leave...

His heart raced as his brain registered another set of words spoken by Jungkook, quite muffled due to his face being hidden in Taehyung's chest, but they were clear and to which Taehyung lovingly replied with an 'I love you too'...

After a few minutes of hugging each other endlessly, they parted a little only to drown in each other's eyes.

Taehyung moved his head closer to Jungkook. His mate sat frozen, from both fear and excitement.

He leaned in, resting his forehead against Jungkook's. They both closed their eyes, taking in each other's characteristic scents that they both have a keen liking to, their breaths were shaking.

"Thank you..." Taehyung said his voice low and husky, deeper than usual...made Jungkook shiver at in response.

"For what?" Jungkook replied, voice barely more than a whisper, as he leaned into his touches...

"For being you." Taehyung's voice wavered, exhilarated from the tension between them.

Taehyung gently leaned in, giving Jungkook plenty of time to reject him but the lack of resistance was a permission enough and kissed Jungkook's warm lips...

They pulled apart and took shaky, shallow breaths. Unable to contain themselves anymore, Taehyung held Jungkook's head in his hands and pulled him into a fiery and passionate kiss, moving closer than it was possible.
