Author's P.O.V:
Ever since their date last night...the words from Mrs. Kang raised a storm of questions in Taehyung's mind. If it weren't for the tranquility of the night and Jungkook's peaceful presence he wouldn't have been able to even sleep. Just like that their date ended along with the surreal night and both were woken up by blushing morning sun.
Letting Jungkook sleep for a few more hours in their room when they came back to their school dorms, Taehyung went out in search of getting answers and in search of the person who could provide them.
Searching through hallways and through all the possible places Taehyung found himself in front of the library. He felt kind of stupid for not going there in the first place but anyways what mattered more was that the person he was looking for was in there buried under the pile of books....as usual.
"Hyung, are you free right now?"
"Oh, Taehyung, what are you doing here so early?" Namjoon said before answering him with "I'm free, what do you need me for?"
Namjoon gestured Taehyung to sit as he noticed that Taehyung wasn't acting like himself. His demeanor was more attentive and more serious than ever.
For a while it was silent, maybe Taehyung was forming his words before telling the older about anything.
"Hyung, do you remember the times when I used to visit the city with my grandma?" Taehyung asked Namjoon to which the older furrowed his brows together, confusion displayed on his features.
"Yeah, I do...you used to love those visits but why are you asking me this so suddenly?"
Namjoon asked back, he knew Taehyung since that when his family took Taehyung and his grandmother under their shelter.
"Well... I took Jungkook yesterday with me to the City-"
"What? You went to the city? But... You said you couldn't..? How?"
"I don't know myself hyung, it's just been so long and the memories associated with it were no longer haunting...I guess it was because of Jungkook that I didn't feel lost and alone anymore" Taehyung replied with a smile gracing his lips remembering last day events...
But soon it wiped off of his face when he remembered why he came here.
"Hyung, you know grandma used to have so many friends from the City...I met one of them yesterday, I met Mrs. Kang."
"Hmm... I think I remember her, I don't know too much about her except that she collects jewelry and ornaments. What about her...?"
With that Taehyung told Namjoon each and every single detail from the point where they met Yeonjun to the time they left after dinner.
"Hyung the words she said to me before we left felt like she is trying to hint me about something..."
"Taehyung...I think she knows more than she was willing to tell you" The older said, mind going everywhere to connect links or to find something.
"Do you have that pendant with you right now? Can you show it to me?" Namjoon asked.
Taehyung didn't have the pendant with him but he chanted some spell and it appeared right in his palms.
Namjoon moved a little closer to look at the said pendant carefully, eyes not leaving any detail to spare. His brows furrowed quizically as he was unable to recognize it.
"As far as I know, Mrs. Kang collects very rare articles and most of them either had something to do with Royal heritage or were heirloom of great importance."
