Author's P.O.V:
Twirling in his bed and groaning for few more minutes, Jungkook finally decided to wake up. After exchanging good mornings with Lily he stood up to get ready for the day.
No, there wasn't anything special today, just daily classes and usual lessons... Thinking about Taehyung, he remembered that older went out today early for some training, though it did surprise Jungkook as why did The most powerful elementalist suddenly felt the need to train himself so hard. As if he was preparing to go on a war...
Not paying much heed to that thought Jungkook quickly got dressed after a nice refreshing bath, getting ready for the day.
It has been only a few days since their dreamlike date...but Jungkook was here pouting while looking at Taehyung's side of the bed, wishing to go on more dates with the older.
With a soft sigh leaving his lips he left his room, Lily as always accompanying him.
Today's first-class was of spells and potions. Jungkook realized he had a very keen interest in this specific subject, though he didn't have mana to actually cast a spell, he did really enjoy learning about them, thus making this class one of his favorites.
He was passing by the classrooms on his way when he heard something which made him stop abruptly in his tracks.
"You know, it's so great that Taehyung pulled out his name from the tournament" someone said.
Jungkook knew better to not eavesdrop on anyone....but his feet just froze then and there with no thought of leaving the place. Mind filling with anger and confusion as he continued hearing.
"Yeah...with him not being in our way, it will be so easier to step over everyone else and win..." This time another voice said.
"Never thought he will be such a coward... So much for being an S-Class"
"Well if I were at his place I also would have done the same thing after all who is stupid enough to fight in Vexus with a baggage of a mate like that"
"Hmm... You know with a family line and blood like that Taehyung's chances to win were extremely high but not so sadly he gave up even before the tournament started" the man snickered.
"Imagine being so fucking useless that even your own mate refuses to fight along with you!"
They both broke into laughter not knowing that someone heard their conversation...
Enough
This word though sounding so simple but still has so weight in it... No matter how much you try, you can never be enough.
Jungkook was tired to prove himself to each and everyone here but the only thing that kept him going was his mate's love and trust in him.
But why did it feel like that wasn't the case anymore... The love that he and Taehyung shared, he can never doubt on it...but why was his heart breaking at the thought of being the reason for holding Taehyung back.
Was he really baggage to Taehyung?
Taehyung deserves someone better...
Is that the reason why Taehyung leaves me alone in the morning?
Maybe he realized that I am not really made for him.
He was unknowingly getting spiraled into these unending thoughts when a soft tap on his shoulder pulled him back from falling down further in it.
"Oh Seunghwan, what are you doing here?" Jungkook asked trying his best to sound as normal as possible at that moment.
"Don't you think that's a question I should ask you? What are you doing in the middle of the hallway? Let's go or else we will be late for the class"
