"Hyunjin will turn eighteen this month on 20th. Let's have the wedding on 22nd, it's a Friday, the weather report said that the sky will be clear and the atmosphere will be warm yet chilly." Mrs. Bang stated looking at his future son-in-law who kept looking down on his food.
"We are fine with everything as long as the couple agrees." Mr. Hwang said glaring at Hyunjin for looking gloomy. The boy made an eye contact with his father and shivered instantly. He forced a smile before nodding and looked at his in-laws.
"What about you, Chan?" Mrs. Hwang asked.
"I am good with everything Hyunjin decides." Chan said and smiled. Hyunjin looked at him in disbelief wondering if the older was putting up an act in front of everyone.
"Hyunjin is one lucky person. Chan is so hard-working, determined and caring. I am happy to have him as our Son-in-law." Mrs. Hwang said and held Mrs. Bang's hand.
"No. Just look at Hyunjin, He is prettier and more behaved than rest of the other girls out there. We couldn't have found a better partner for our Chan. I can't wait to show him off to everyone as my son-in-law. He's really a diva." Mrs. Bang said truthfully. Honestly she knew that Hyunjin was more beautiful than how she looked in her teens even though he was a boy."So, you both talk regularly, right?" Mr. Bang asked looking at the pair. Hyunjin stopped eating and looked at his plate, thinking of an answer to say.
"Yes." He heard Chan and looked at him in disbelief once again. He could've easily told everyone that Hyunjin refused to talk to him before marriage but he didn't. Why was the older being so good to him?
"You should. Communication is necessary between the couple." Mrs. Hwang remarked.
"Excuse me. I will be back in a minute." Hyunjin said and got up before leaving everyone at the table. He quickly made his way to the washroom not giving a glance to the staff or the people passing by who had their jaws dropped at his beauty.
He entered a stall and sat down on the closed seat. He just needed some air before he goes back to the hell.
'You can do it' He kept reminding himself when a few tears left his eyes and his body shivered. He wanted to scream for help.============================================================================
16th March (6 days to go)
Numb, that's how Hyunjin is feeling while looking down at the envelope in his hands. He returned home from his school to find out that there was a mail under his name from someone unknown. He did not care enough to open it at first, thinking of it as another letter from one of his fangirls at school. But curiosity got the best of him and that's how he ended up opening the envelope on his bed.
He wished he'd not had done that. He opened the envelope to see pictures of him changing his clothes in his closet. He ran inside and looked for the camera there, thrashing everything in the process. He found a small one at the mirror's end. He dropped the camera on the ground and crushed it with his feet. He slid down against the wall and held his head against his hands. He did not know what to do. Someone from inside his house was tied with Minhyuk now. How good. He felt tired and drained.
Since, that day Hyunjin has done nothing but cry while being alone. He felt disgusted and violated. He need help but he can't ask someone. And after looking at those pictures, he knew he was trapped. If he tells someone, Minhyuk would release these pictures and the marriage would break off. His parents' company will be crushed.
He didn't want that.A knock on the door interrupted his never ending numbness. He quickly fumbled up and hid those pictures in the nearest drawer. He turned around and set his hair a bit to look normal before walking out to open his door.
"Yes?" he said while opening the door. He saw Chan standing there in formals.
"Mother-in-law asked me to call you downstairs for lunch." Chan informed.
"I'll be there in 5 minutes, I need to change." Hyunjin said and then only Chan noticed that the younger was wearing a T-shirt with grey sweats.
"No. It's just me and one of my friends. We were passing by, I just stopped to say hello." He held Hyunjin's hand to stop him. But Hyunjin's mind wasn't at the right place and he yanked his hand back from Chan's hold.
"Are you okay? I didn't-"
"I am so sorry. Let's just go." He said and started walking downstairs after closing the door. Chan looked at him suspiciously but shrugged and followed him. Chan was amazed how beautiful Hyunjin looked in just T-shirt and sweats. How can someone be so beautiful? Hence, he decided to walk behind Hyunjin so that he can admire him without being questioned.
