Conner entered the library, looking for y/n.

It was almost closing time, just as she told him.

Looking around the room, the only people he could see were some clients that were just about to leave.

He waited there a couple minutes, and when they were finally gone, he got closer to the desk at the entrance.

Still no sign of her.

After a while, he eard a loud noise coming from a room in the back of the library, and ran towards it, worried.

As he entered, he found y/n on the floor, covered in books.

"Hey! Are you ok?" he said, helping her up.

"Conner, hi! You're here!... Yeah, I'm fine, thanks..."

"What happened?"

"Well, I was taking some books from the shelf up there, and I lost my balance and fell off the ladder..." she said, embarassed "I must seem so stupid, right now..."

"No, you don't" he said softly, smiling "...but you really shouldn't do this kind of things when you're alone..."

"But I wasn't alone. You're here, after all" she smirked.

"Right" he smiled "...Well, does anything hurt?"

"Oh, no, don't worry. I'm ok now"

Silence fell on the room, but not an ankward one.

It felt good... and right...
__

"You can sit down at that table over there... I'll go take my stuff" she smiled, walking back into the main room with Conner.

As he did so, she went to the front desk, taking her backpack from behind it.

"Ok, we can start"

She sat in front of him at the other side of the table, and blushed, as he stared at her.

It wasn't creepy or anything, it was just... nice.

His gaze felt warm and soft, like a good wool blanket.

She took out her drawing stuff from the backpack, making the pencil case fall clumsily on the floor.

"You're so cute" he chuckled, resting his chin on his right hand.

She blushed even more, taking it up and putting it on the table.

She felt so distracted by him.

"O-ok, ehm... how do you want me to draw you?"

"What do you mean?"

"In p-profile, or..."

"Well, you're the artist... tell me what to do, and I'll do it" he smiled.

She felt her cheeks burning.
"How is he so cute and hot at the same time?" she thought.

"Oh, ok, ehm... why don't you look that way, then?"

"At that bookshelf over there?"

"Yes"

He turned around, doing as she said.

At least she could've concentrated a bit more on her drawing.

Or so she thought.

"Ok, that's great. Don't move"

Y/n took her favourite pencil, and put its graphite tip on the blank sheet, starting to sketch his figure.

She outlined his profile, gently moving her hand around the page.

His curly short hair, his slightly curved nose, his thick lips... all seemed to find its place, fitting perfectly in that beautiful puzzle.

Every time she'd gaze at him, she'd feel her cheeks turn red, and would immediately hide her face from him, looking back down at her notebook.

She didn't know why, but she suddently couldn't stop blushing every time she'd  look at him.

Conner had a strange effect on her.

Every now and then, she'd find him staring at her while she was distracted, and it would make her giggle.

"I told you to stay still!" she'd laugh.

"I know, but it's really hard to ignore you... you look so pretty in that hoodie" he'd answer softly, smiling, as he'd turn back around.

And, as always, she would blush, and start drawing again.
__

"Ok, I'm almost done..." y/n said, sketching the last few details left.

"Can't wait to see it" he smiled.

She put down her pencil, sighing, and looked up at Conner, that got up from his chair and sat down on another one, closer to her.

Y/n blushed, feeling him so near. She really enjoyed his presence, even though she'd never admit that to anyone else.

"Can I see?" he asked softly.

"Ok... but don't judge, alright? It's been a while since I last did a portrait..."

She sighed, and gave him her notebook, closing her eyes.

She was so scared it'd disappoint him... after all, she had kinda been building up expectations about it, and she was really worried he wouldn't like it.

She heard nothing, and, terrified, she slowly opened them again and looked up at him.

She thought he wasn't saying anything because it was awful, but when she saw him, she couldn't help but blush again.

His face had lit up. He was smiling from ear to ear, staring amazed at her drawing.

"It's... beautiful..." he said, softly, looking at her "...Is this how you see me?"

"W-what do you mean?"

"This is so much better than how I really am... it's so wonderful... do you really see me like this?"

Y/n looked down at her hands, blushing.

"Y-yeah..."

He smiled wider, if that's even possible.

They were so close...

She didn't dare to look at him.
It was like he had control over her, by now. Every time he'd say anything or look at her, she'd blush, and feel this strange thing in her stomach.

It was like butterflies were flying inside her.

Y/n felt his gaze on her, as his eyes moved down, staring at her lips.
She blushed.

"I want to kiss you so badly" he whispered, softly smiling.

She shivered, hearing those words.

"Do it, then" she replied, finally finding the courage to look up.

He slowly got closer.
The space between them had never been so small.

She could feel his hot breath on her skin, as his lips were only a few inches away from hers.

You could feel the tension in the air.

Suddently, the doorbell rang, interruping their moment.
