Secret

After Ryder sang Everybody Hurts, he stood up and exhaled deeply. "I didn't want to just get them out. I wanted to get in touch with them; so I could maybe have the balls to tell you guys something. Something that's pretty hard to talk about."

"It's cool, bro. You can let it out."

"I've actually only told one person this. Not even my parents know. But, I'm not sure if I could trust that person to keep it secret. So before this gets out, I want to be the one to open the box. When I was 11, I was molested by my babysitter." My heart dropped and suddenly I got this huge wave of memories that I tried to forget. I tried to push it down. "She just walked in on me in the shower, and she touched me a bit."

"Wait, hold on. Did you just say "She"?" Sam interrupted him. I froze waiting to see what would happen next.

"Like, as in girl? Like, a teenage girl?"

"Yeah, she was, like, 17, 18."

"Dude, you were 11 and some hot 18-year-old plays with your junk? I'd have killed for that."

"Why are you ashamed of this?"

"I don't know, I. It kind of messed me up a bit. Like, I have trouble trusting girls because of it, I think."

"Guys, this not something to high-five about."

My brain went slow and I couldn't breathe. I kept hearing speaking but not clearly. I just know Sam was praising Ryder about it. Ryder went around the room and high fived the guys, and then he left.

"What the hell!" I shouted.

"Woah, babe are you okay?"

"You think, being raped is something to be happy about? Why do you think I didn't bleed on "my first time"! Because my first time, got taken away from me! And you ruined it again! I can't believe I could trust someone so idiotic! Who would think that, that is okay!"

"Ryder said it was fine."

"No, he said that because you don't understand how it feels! It truly feels to have someone touch you and not consent! To have someone get on top of you and you feel like your suffocating!" Memories filled my head and I felt dizzy "You don't know, Sam. And I hope you never do but he didn't consent which means he never wanted it! Just because if someone touched you and you were okay with it, doesn't mean Ryder is. Also, don't bother telling the principal or whatever. He's already in jail." I ran out the room struggling with my crutches up to Ryder. When I caught up with him, I cried. I just cried and I couldn't stop.

"Were you?"

"Yes."

The lights turned back on in McKinley, a few weeks ago. We won Regionals luckily. Blaine and Kurt are getting back together! Rachel I knew for sure was gonna get the lead in Funny Girl. Sam said sorry to me and Ryder but that was weeks ago. This week is the Beatles week! Two weeks on this assignment! Tonight me and Sam are going to a carnival. We went ok almost every single ride there and I won him some stuffed animals and so did he.

"I've had fun tonight." Sam put his head over the big stuffed animal he won for me and smiled.

"Wanna have a sleepover?" I smiled nervously.

"My place or?"

"My parents won't be home tonight."

"Then I'd be happy too."

After the long night he drove us to my house. I ran upstairs and threw myself on my bed, oh yeah! I'm not on crutches anymore! "Do you maybe wanna?" Sam laid next to me and looked into my eyes.

"Have sex?"

"Yeah, but if you aren't ready."

"That was years ago, yeah I still get sensitive about it but I'm fine Sam." I pulled his shirt in and kissed him roughly.

Throughout the week, Sue became principal. Also I'm pretty sure Kitty and Artie are dating. And Blaine is going to purpose to Kurt- anyways Sammy and I are gonna sing a duet.

"That was beautiful guys." Everyone clapped and the bell rang.

Days later the boy's sing a song for Tina, so she can pick a prom date. But only between Ryder and Blaine. Got to admit Sam looked hot, like always. Within the same day was the proposal! I didn't walk throughout the school with Kurt cause that was Rachel's job. But, at the end of it.... he said yes! I kissed Sam, and squeezed him. "One day that's gonna be us." He whispered in my ear.

It was finally prom week and Sam and I have been campaigning but Tina, she is psycho! She keeps threatening me and keeps saying "It's my year" but I'm also a senior so it's also my last year! Does she not get that? Tina also stopped going with Ryder because well she's crazy. A lot of people wanted to vote for me because I wasn't crazy like her. I mean I've never seen her so..... not Tina. I went prom dress shopping with Kitty. "This pink dress brings out my hair, don't you think?" Kitty held the dress up to her body and smiled.

"Yes! Also, I love this dress." I held up a off the shoulder blue dress with flowers on it.

"If you don't get it, I will! You would look like Cinderella."

We both bought the dresses and prom got even closer and every day it kept getting worse. Tina actually threw a slushee in my face and yelled "Drop out" I was actually scared. Also since I was still on the Cheerios this head girl Bree, also kept yelling at me to win it. I swear there is seriously something wrong with girls. Sam also had been terrified to get a shot all week so I went with him so we got it together. "Wasn't that good baby?" I smiled softly.

"That was absolutely, positively, terrifying!"

"Baby." I hugged him tightly and smiled. "Wanna come over and hang out?" He nodded sadly but smiled.
