Chapter 13: The stolen voice
"Even illusions, can't hide forever."
Flashback
It had now been years since Seulgi encountered her bullies and defeated them. Seulgi got into Fairy High and was on the track of graduating with honors. She was no longer afraid for standing up for herself and for others.
She always looked out for the little guy because in her eyes, she was someone's hero.
Even if at a young age she didn't have hers.
Seulgi was now seventeen, practicing magic in the outskirts of the magic forest. Her parents were gone for the weekend, and she finally had a chance to relax.
She was practicing near the border of the kingdom of Rosae and the forest of magic. Now it was normally not recommended for fairies to practice here since they can be captured by the hunters roaming around this place.
But Seulgi felt at peace here. She loved it as she got to see the animals and the flora flourishing in the forest.
Seulgi was practicing some magic, when she heard a loud neigh. She stopped what she was doing and decided to check it out. A horse neighing like that meant something went wrong.
The source of the sound was not too far where she was from. Seulgi got there quickly as she was running, thankfully she was in pants and leather boots. "I wonder where is that sound coming from", she thought.
The source of the neigh was near the river. Seulgi saw that horse was tied up to the tree, as the horse was now in panic mode. Seulgi went to it and quickly calmed it down.
"Down little one", she whispered to the horse. She gently whipped out some of her magic and started to pet the horse. The horse calmed down as it did not see Seulgi as a threat. It got closer to her and nuzzled her nose.
"There, you are all better", she cooed, gently patting it. "Now, why are you tied up?" And where is your owner?"
The horse neighed again, as it was trying to send a signal to her. Seulgi looked behind to see a young man, probably about her age on the ground, unconscious. Seulgi ran to the man and saw that he was bleeding from his side.
"Oh you poor thing", she gasped. She quickly used her magic to lift him up, since the man looked twice her size. She used her magic to let go of the horse being tied up to the tree and gently placed his owner on the saddle, securing him to make sure he does not fall. Seulgi was going to take care of him in the meantime and she decided to heal him at her house, since her family won't be back for a while.
