Midnight Sky: Meeting the Aurora
_*_
The darkness was slowly dissipating as orange linings began surfacing on the sky as sun began to wake up from its sleep. The early cold breeze of the air brushed of against Jungkook's sweaty skin. It was still dawn, around 4:30 a.m. when he already woke up and started stretching outside in their small, grassless garden. He have a morning class which is exactly 8:30. Before he would go to school or take his breakfast, it has become his routine to work out for 30 minutes.
He inhaled then held the arching bar, gripping tightly and started pulling himself upwards. This is to increase the strength of his arms since the exercise use to biceps and triceps. He also do this to maintain his abs.
After doing 3 consecutive sets of 12 pull-ups, Jungkook plopped down to the ground, doing and inhale-exhale. His silky black hair that falls to his right eye was dripping with sweat, from his nose to his delicate but strong jaw. He was literally glistening, his veiny hands, muscular arms, and long legs.
He heard the door of his Mother's room swung open so he grab his towel and wiped his sweats. Jungkook have already prepared their breakfast, buying a loaf of bread as soon as he woke up. His mother leaves for work at 7 in the morning and comes home at 9 in the night. She is a part-timed wedding organizer, copywriter and a content creator.
She is an amazing woman and is such a great mother to him.
She takes many job just to make sure that she can make him study in the prestigious school where he goes and is taking the course of Mechanical Engineering. Although, because of that, she seldom take care of her health which worries him. Jungkook had already told her mother many times that he doesn't need to go in an expensive school.
"You slept late and wake up early and have the strength to workout." Ms. Jeon said once she saw her son preparing her plate on the table. "Are you a superhuman, my dear?"
Jungkook chuckled at his mother's word. "I have to be a diligent son for my hard-working mom. You're the superhuman in the two of us. Seriously, I learned versatility because of you."
Ms. Jeon laughed full-blown, sun rays gliding in passed the purple laced curtains, radiating over every inch of the living room like the sun is listening to his Mother's laughter and is sending her good energy for the day. "How come you're so good at fibbing? You're such a sweet talker."
Jungkook grinned at his mother, handing her coffee, spoon and fork and her vitamins. They sat down and started eating, her mother talking about her what happened yesterday as she always do. She doesn't have close friends so he figured out that he will be. They can be mother and son and also each other's best friend.
"How was your audition yesterday?" She asked, slicing the Tocino in half and stuffing it to her mouth.
He felt a lump on his throat at the mention of what had transpire yesterday. Before disappointment and sadness wash over his visage, Jungkook pretended to energetically pick a hotdog and stuffed it. "I got into the Top 3 dancers. They said they will call me if they need some substitute or there is a empty slot."
