Midnight Sky: Chase the dreams
Jungkook felt like he was starting over again.
In the first week, he wasn't excited getting up from his bed. He was used to picking up Kiki from her house and driving her to the school. He was used to seeing her bright smile when they are on good terms and her cold, sharp look when they fight. No matter what happens, Jungkook would still pick her up.
So this is what it feels when you lose your other half. It hurts so much not hearing her voice everyday.
He shook his head and bolted up from his bed. He shouldn't overthink too much. This is how reality is and he should accept that fact. There was no time to waste. He already lived when he was with her.
After taking a shower, Jungkook donned his gray sweatpants and a black hoodie. He hasn't danced for a month because he doesn't want to remember their moments together. Now, he realized that he shouldn't have ran away from his passion which is why once again, the grind will start.
He looked at his maroon motorcycle parked in their backyard. Ever since he had that talk with his mother, she allowed him to introduce his vehicle to her. He still got an earful scolding from her but it was better than walking to the convenient store to ride it. However, Jungkook couldn't bring himself to use it. Walking outside the gate and locking it, he strolled towards the bus station. Being around a lot of people reduces his loneliness because the noise drowns the sadness in his head.
Arriving at the dance studio, Jungkook headed to the counter and handed the payment. The owner of the dance studio gave him a fist-bump before he headed inside. He smiled once he saw his reflection in the mirror. It was a refreshing feeling so without any second thought, he plugged his cellphone to the speakers and started his warm-up like push-ups, crunches and stretching. When he was done, the music instantly got on his head and Jungkook let it control his movements. He continued to dance for three hours straight, only taking a couple of water breaks.
He was surprised when someone clapped from behind. Turning around, he saw a 5'8 guy with a lean build. He was as muscular as he is and his eyes and what's surprising was his face is small and even though his cheek has this natural "chubbiness", his jaws were defined. He has doe eyes with single eyelids and he could tell that they also smile when he smiles.
"That flow and flexibility... so cool."
He spoke as if he knew him and he could sense that he's an easy-going guy. "Thanks! It's my first time seeing you here. Are you a new dancer?"
The guy shook his head and clapped his hand. "I've been looking for a dance studio because the place I used to practice at has closed. It's more convenient here and I love that the floor is really clean."
"Well, you should practice here more. It's really comfortable here plus the owner sometimes gives free snacks and drinks."
"Dude, it's crazy how you are moving around the place but still catch those crazy beats. Your B-boy is also really good. You are in one groove and then you'll execute those crazy stuff, I love it," the guy raised his hand for a high five.
Jungkook accepted it and scratched his head, "I wanted to balance my serious but outgoing style. Can you show me how you dance?"
He nodded and offered a handshake, "Sure, but first I'm Park Jimin."
"Jeon Jungkook," he responded to the handshake and the guy, who now he knows as Jimin strolled towards the speaker and plugged his phone. From an easy going guy, Jimin's expression changed. At first, he was pretty chill until the first three basses hit and even though he was contained in the same area, his movements were strong but they were smooth like he studied ballet. Despite the fast rap in the music, he was pinpointing different wordplay through his actions and the dance came off really strong.
