🌸
I woke up, looking around. My head was pounding and my stomach felt raw. I couldn't remember where I was, and I picked up my phone.
-where are you??- gwen
32 missed calls. 60 unread messages. I groaned and shut my phone off, crawling out of the bed. I changed back into my own clothes that were at the end of the bed. I opened the door, slowly remembering that I had stayed at the house where we'd gone to the party. I walked into the bathroom and cleaned off the makeup from the night before, jumping when the door swung open.
"Oh, sorry, love." A boy with colored hair and a thick British accent laughed.
"It's fine, I'm finished." I slipped out the door past him.
"Were you at the party last night? I didn't see you."
"Yeah, I was. Do you live here?" I asked him and he nodded.
"Dom."
"Clara." He flashed a boyish grin before disappearing into the bathroom. I wandered down the hall and down the staircase into the kitchen where I smelled food cooking. The house had been fully cleaned, looking like a place where people lived instead of a wild party.
"Good morning." Rook smiled from the breakfast bar.
"Hi." I rubbed my arms lightly.
"Clara, how're you feeling?" The blonde boy I had spent the night with turned to me, stepping away from the pan of bacon and eggs he was making.
"Hungover." I answered and he got me a glass of water and Advil, pulling out the seat next to Rook for me.
"Thanks."
"I've made enough for you. I hope it's alright?" He asked, serving plates of food.
"Yes, please." I smiled, earning a small one in return from him.
"Clara, this is Slim." Kells introduced me to the guy who walked into the kitchen. I said hello and he greeted me. Dom walked in a few minutes later, and Kells sat down next to me.
"Thank you for breakfast." I told him.
"Yeah, of course." He nodded.
"I can call my friends for a lift." I said, helping Kells clean up the dishes.
"No need. I've got to run some errands, I'll drop you home on the way." He said.
"Are you sure? I don't want to bother you."
"I don't mind at all." He assured me. I nodded, and he handed me a towel for my hands.
"I want to come!" Dom shouted as he ran down the stairs. Kells rolled his eyes and shrugged.
"You're riding in the back." He told Dom, making me laugh. I typed my address into Kells' gps, but anxiously told him he could just drop me at the end of the street.
"Not in this neighborhood, I'm dropping you at your house, that's stupid." Kells argued with me as he drove.
"It's fine, really." I said.
"What don't you want me to see, Clara?" He asked and I looked away.
"Nothing." I said, and Dom tried to lighten the mood by flamboyantly telling a story from the party.
"Thanks for the ride, Kells." I said as I stepped out of the car once he was stopped in front of my house.
"Anytime, Clara." I watched from the sidewalk as he pulled out, Dom now chattering away in the front seat. I looked at my dad's beater truck in the driveway and dreaded going inside, especially still in my skimpy outfit from last night.
