The Substitute

Another day meant more drama at McKinley high. A number of students had the flu. Blaire walked into school to see a bunch of Cheerios marching down the hall with a trophy. She flattened her own Cheerios uniform and made her way over to her locker.

"Knock knock!" Came a voice. Blaire closed her locker and smiled at Ash." How are you doing this fine morning, miss Anderson?"

"I am doing just fine, mr Summers, how about you?" Blaire asked with a chuckle.

"I am great!" Ash responded, holding his arm out." M'lady."

"Why thank you!" Blaire giggled as she popped her arm through his. They walked past Sue and Schue talking." What do you think they're talking about?"

"I don't know." Ash said." Maybe this flu going around?"

"You don't have it do you?" Blaire asked in alarm. Ash chuckled and shook his head." Good because I was about to run far away."

The two laughed and walked into Glee Club, unlooping their arms. They sat near the back, like usual, telling jokes and laughing. Mr Schue walked in and began writing on the board.

"Alright guys, um- it's time to start thinking about song selections!" He said and then he turned around, looking pale.

"Looking good Puckerman, someone's been eating their Wheaties." Santana said.

"These guns are fully loaded!" Puck said, flexing his muscles. Blaire rolled her eyes.

"Mr Schue, I for one think we should use our set list for sectionals." Rachel explained." To start exploring the oeuvre of one Bernadette Peters."

"Someday I'm gonna go to Paris and visit the Oeuvre." Brittany said.

"I just want to dance." Mike said. Mr Schue looked faint.

"Mr Schuester, you look a little green!" Mercedes said.

"I think I'm gonna go to the nurse." Mr Schue gasped out." But first I feel like I should get you guys a sitter."

"What?" Finn asked. Mr Schue staggered out of the room.

"I think he has the flu." Blaire said.

"I'm shaking and it's either from low blood sugar or rage." Kurt said at lunch the next day as he waited in line with Mercedes and Blaire." I knew it was only a matter of time before Rachel began to take over the glee club!"

"Class! In Mr Schuesters absence, I'm going to go around and ask each of you what solo you would like me to perform at sectionals!" Rachel had explained after writing Me on the board.

"ALL RIGHT. LET ME AT HER!" Santana yelled, Brit, Blaire and Ash grabbing her so she would hit Rachel.

"We'll forget all about to at bowling." Mercedes said as they put some food on their plates.

"I can't. Blaine asked me to hang out." Kurt said. Blaire smiled.

"I've been looking forward to it all week." Mercedes said as Kurt and Blaire went to get more food. She followed them." Wait, are you two going out? Because it's time to come clean."

"Um my brothers single." Blaire chuckled.

"Blaine is your brother?" Mercedes asked. Blaire gave a nod.

"I don't want another Jesse, Rachel traitor scenario." Kurt said.

"Hey! That's my brother you're on about." Blaire gasped and then she chuckled." Blaine would never do that."
