Iliana's POV
"I'm telling you April she's insufferable we been living together for barely a week and I'm already going insane."
My bestfriend laughed at me.
"She can't possibly be that bad Lia," she said.
"But she can, she's immature, gross, arrogant and annoying," I listed.
"Sounds lovely. Is she hot at least?" April asked.
I thought back to Kai, her long black hair, her dark emerald eyes and her square jawline and pearly smile that she probably whitens every now and then. Kai was taller and stronger than me, I could tell she worked out since the other day I saw her without a shirt on by accident and I caught a glimpse of her well defined back and abs. Overall she gave out this bad girl vibe until she opened her mouth and you could tell she was just a big weirdo. Like, that girl talks so much nonsenses and doesn't shut up for anything in the world.
"Hey, are you there?" April waved her hand in front of my face breaking me out of my thoughts.
I shook my head, "Yeah sorry."
"What were you thinking about? Your little fiance maybe," she said with a teasing smile.
"Shut up."
"So is she hot?"
"Why does that even matter."
"I'll take that as a yes," she grinned.
I rolled my eyes.
Kai was indeed very good looking but theres no way I will ever say that out loud.
"Give the girl a chance Lia, what's the worst thing that can happen?" April said.
"I'm with Josh in case you forgot and even if I wasn't I would never be with someone like her."
"Well you're with Josh, it can't get worse than that."
"I don't get why you hate him so much."
"He treats you like trash Iliana," she deadpanned.
That is not true, Josh just happens to have some anger issues that he cannot control sometimes so he tends to blow up and say some things when he is under a lot of pressure but besides that he treats me like a princess.
"He does not."
Now it was her turn to roll her eyes.
"Whatever you say," she took a sip of what was left of her milkshake.
The food in this place is pretty good minding the fact that I don't usually like fast food places this was good enough I guess. April seemed to love it since she insisted for us to come here.
"What if you show me around your new house," April suggested.
I gave her an unamused face knowing what she was trying to do and that was hopefully bumping into Kai when I take her there.
"How about no?" I responded.
"Oh come on Lia, you know I'll meet her eventually it's better sooner than later, and you don't know if she's there right now."
I thought about it and well she is kind of right, I rather she meets her when theres no one around and I can't be humiliated.
I sighed.
"Fine, lets go."
"Yes," she celebrated on her seat.
We paid the bill and went on our way to the penthouse. I was praying internally that Kai's annoying ass wasn't home right now.
April was amazed by the fact that we have a private elevator that goes straight to our floor. It was kind of funny to see her.
"Well, here it is." I said gesturing to the big apartment.
"It has two floors," April looked around the place.
She then walked outside to the roof while I just stayed inside.
"You have a pool!? And not only that but two goddesses in it," she said from outside.
The last part caught my attention making my eyes widen, I rushed outside to the roof to find Kai and her friend swimming in the pool.
"And who you might be?" Kai said as she got out of the pool slowly as if she was on a movie.
April was almost drooling at this point, her mouth opening and closing like a fish.
"Back off dumbass," I told her.
Her sidekick then followed her out of the pool to stand besides her.
"I-I am April," she stuttered and extended her hand towards Kai who shook it.
"Kai and this is Alex," she pointed to the grey eyed girl who was shamelessly checking out my best friend.
"Its good to meet you." April looked all flustered like a high school girl meeting her crush, it was ridiculous.
"I can say the same, unlike your bestie you seem to have manners," Kai said smugly earning a glare from me.
"And what brings you here blondie," Alex said.
"I live here unlike you."
She raised a finger to me in shushing manner. "I was talking to your pretty friend."
The compliment made April's face go red and then Alex threw her a wink making her go even redder than before.
Kai was just watching everything with a annoying smirk plastered on her face.
I groaned.
"That's enough, lets go April."
"But Lia-"
"Nothing,"
Not wanting to be here anymore I grasped her hand and pulled her inside and upstairs to my room.
"Lia she's so fucking hot," April said once we were in my room.
"Ew."
"Don't lie you know she is, if I were you I would have pounced her the moment we met."
"April don't be disgusting," I scrunched my face.
She started laughing at what I guess was my expression.
"I'm just being honest unlike you. Also, is her friend single?" She wiggled her brows suggestively.
"Her friend is even more of an asshole than Kai. She has no filter."
April shrugged, "That's even better, did you see those tattoos? That bad girl vibe she has is so fucking hot, they both are. I wouldn't mind being between the two of them if you know what I mean."
I threw her a pillow to her face.
"Shut up."
April started laughing again.
Just the thought of ever having to sleep or even kiss Kai made shiver in distaste.
Not in a million years would I ever.
