Stuck With You

Chapter Fifteen

Iliana's POV

The week passed by fast and soon we were on our way back to California. The rest of the week Kai did as promised and showed me another cities besides Paris - she took me to Bordeaux, Marseille and Lyon. We couldn't visit the rest due to lack of time obviously; but she said we could come over some time again and she'll show me the rest.

I had a really great time and that's something I doubted in the beginning but Kai made sure I was comfortable.

We also never brought up that moment under the rain, luckily. I don't like to to think much into it - nothing happened and it was just the spur of the moment anyway.

Today I was supposed to go visit Josh but since it started raining pretty hard I decided to stay inside and go tomorrow instead.

I was in my room reading a book but I got bored so I opted to go downstairs and get something to eat. When I got the kitchen Kai was already there with her face planted against the microwave's door.

"Uh what are you doing?" I asked.

"Watching my popcorns," she responded without looking at me.

I shook my head and opened the fridge - I grabbed a coke and hopped on the counter and the only thing you could hear in the kitchen was the popping sound of the popcorn.

"You know is not polite to stare," Kai said still not looking at me.

"I'm not staring. I'm studying you." I took a sip of my coke.

The microwave beeped meaning the popcorns were ready. "Why are you studying me?" Kai got the popcorn bag and emptied it on a bowl.

"Cause you're weird."

She hummed, "Fair."

"What are you up to?" I asked as she got out of the kitchen and I followed after.

"I'm going to watch a movie marathon, the rainy days are perfect for it," she said with her mouth full. I tried not to look disgusted at it but I failed. "Wanna join me?"

I thought about my options I was trapped here because of a freaking storm - without anything to do and very bored.

"Yeah why not. I have nothing better to do." I replied and took a seat on the black leather couch.

The rain was pouring hard and it hit against the giant window of the penthouse. The dark day made the grey and black themed livingroom look dimmer than usual. But Kai was right - the cosy ambient was what made it the perfect time to watch movies with a blanket and popcorns. Luckily there was already a blanket laid on the sofa.

Kai sat besides me and I watched as she scrolled through Netflix trying to find something to watch.

"Any suggestions?" She asked.

I shrugged, "Not really I'm up for anything."

Kai turned to me with a smug grin, "Oh really? Would you be up to a kiss?" She puckered her lips and leaned in close but I put my hand against her face and pushed her back.

"In your dreams. I was talking about the movies, obviously, idiot."

"Believe me I dream about it often blondie," she turned back to the screen. "How about a porn movie."

My eyes widened at that and I swatted her on the shoulder. "Ouch! It was just a suggestion!"

"I'm not watching a porn movie with you!"

"Oh so you watch them on your own?" She wiggled her brows.

I groaned and pushed her, "Kai!"

She laughed and poked my cheek, "You're blushing!"

I rolled my eyes and stood up, "You know what - I don't want to watch anything anymore." But before I could leave she grabbed my arm and pulled me back onto the couch.

"I was just messing with you blondie, stay." I pouted and crossed my arms, "Don't get mad, I'll stop teasing," she nudged me but I wasn't budging. "We can watch whatever you want."

"Anything?" I mumbled and she nodded.

"Anything wifey."

I mentally rolled my eyes at the nickname. Kai has been rather sweet these days, not that I'm complaining she usually is a big jerk, but lately other than saying her usual out of place comments here and there she has been nice and sweet. What I don't know is why.

"So whats it going to be?" She asked again.

"I've been wanting to watch the incredibles 2 for a while now."

She nodded, "I already saw that one but its cool I wanted to rewatch it anyway. I'll have to go to disney plus instead," she grabbed the control and started doing it.

I grabbed a blanket that was beside us and put it over me while Kai searched the movie. "Do you mind sharing the blanket?" She asked.

"I do."

She turned to me and frowned, her lip slightly in a pout. "I brought it, don't be mean, the livingroom is freezing."

I sighed. "Fine," I relented and put the blanket over her legs.

"Thanks blondie," she smiled.

"Just play the movie." I mumbled.

She did as I said and started the movie, I leaned against the sofa and Kai did the same.

"Do you want popcorn?" She whispered and showed me the bowl. I shook my head in response and she shrugged.

I made myself comfortable snuggling with the blanket. Kai was right on the freezing part, we really should get the temperature higher. I

We were still watching the movie attentively, none of us had said a word since it started. Kai was way too invested in it at this point even though she said she already watched it.

Suddenly I felt something on my thigh. It was Kai's hand tracing circles on my inner thigh absentmindedly as she watched the film. The soft contact with my skin made me shiver, I had to suppress an embarrassing moan when she went up higher and closer to my core.

I didn't want to make things awkward so I "rearranged" myself in the couch.

"What are you doing?" She asked finally looking at me.

"Nothing. I just-  my leg had a cramp..."

"Oh, okay," she turned her attention back to the tv.

We kept watching movies all afternoon. At one point I found myself cuddled against Kai but I honestly couldn't care less at the moment. I was sleepy and she was comfortable and warm, so I snuggled against her side and she without saying anything - wrapped her arm around me.

I then felt myself falling asleep while Kai watched frozen 2. Before falling asleep I felt something on my head but I shrugged it off and finally succumbed to sleep.
