Hello, I is back. This chapter isn't as long at the other ones, my apologies, but I hope you enjoy \(^o^)/
As we get off the bus, the man in the back seems to follow. I act as if I didn't know the guy was there, partly because Bakugo might over react as per usual. We walk into the Wal-Mart and I grab a cart. "So what are we getting?" Bakugo asks. "First to Sporting Goods so that I can get some cast-iron skillets." I tell him, walking towards the back of the store.
In the sporting goods, I grab one of the larger skillets and a smaller one to make it easier to carry back to the dorms with the food. "What do you want for dinner?" I ask my classmate, catching him off guard.
"You're asking me?"
"No, I'm asking the skillet." I say sarcastically, rolling my eyes. "Tacos." replies Bakugo after he elbows me slightly. "Okay, let's get the food and seasonings." I laugh as my phone goes off, Iida wanting to know where we were and if we need help.
I send him our location before telling our class rep that if we need help that we would call. "Four-eyes?" Bakugo asks as I put my phone back in my pocket. "Yup, now let's get the foods."
One shopping trip later
Bakugo and I walk into the dorm, bags of food and the two skillets in our arms. "Hi Azula." Uraraka says "Hi Bakugo, what do you got there?"
"Stuff." I reply before the explosion king could react. I walk to the kitchen and set the stuff in my bags out on the island, mostly the cold stuff since I could use my quirk to keep it chilled. I also had the larger pan so I have all that I need to get started.
I put everything but the five pounds of ground beef in the fridge for later and I put some oil in the pan before warning it up. "Oi! Did you forget some things?" I lean my head back to see Bakugo with the other bags "Nope, just in trusted them in your hands." I smile, looking back to the pan, I let go to open the tube of meat and put it in before quickly grabbing the seasonings. Bakugo is still standing next to the island, "Do you need anything?" I ask sprinkling some seasoning salt on to the meat. "No, but do you want some help?" he retorts. I put some chili powder in and cumin "Hmm you can chop up the tomatoes and lettuce right now." I inform him as I stir the meat "Oh and try not to cut yourself." I add.
"I'm not a little kid."
"And the knife is not sharp." I shrug. I hear him mutters something under his breath. "Who's cooking?" Momo asks behind me, I raise spatula up "Yo." the meat is almost done so I finally turn the burner on and put it on low before placing a lid on it. "Done chopping." Bakugo says as Momo takes a seat at the island. "Put them in some bowls; Yaoyorozu, can you chop up the onions please since you are in here."
"Sure thing." the woman smiles and grabs a cutting board and knife, I take the tortillas out of the fridge and put them in the microwave for a minute, during the minute, I pull out enough plates for everyone along with spoons and serving spoons.
"What's cookin'?" Sero asks, piping his head in. "Food Scotch tape, now go and get everyone." bomb boy answers. The tape user gives a toothy grin before running off to get everyone. The microwave goes off and I take to tortillas out placing them on a plate then putting another plate on top in order to keep them warm. I stir the meat once again so that it doesn't burn. Yaoyorozu had finished chopping the onions and placed them in a bowl before retrieving the Sour cream, cheese and salsa. Just in time too "TACOS!!" Kirishima grins upon walking in. "No, it's Soba." I reply, "Great!" Sho says "If you don't want any, I'll gladly take your portion."
"No, it's tacos." Kirishima say taking a plate and two tortillas "Don't take a lot of meat." I tell them. "Thank you Azula!" Toru says. I smile in response, waiting in the back of the line. "Midoriya wants you to bring his plate up 'cause Tenshi is sleeping on his lap." Toya informs me. "Okay." I text my boyfriend asking what he wants on his taco, and how many. He quickly replies and get our plates. "We'll take care of clean up." Iida says "To thank you for cooking."
"Alright, Toya make sure you season the pan, I don't want it to rust." I tell my brother.
[For you non cast-iron skillets users, 'seasoning the pan' is not seasoning like you would meat. What you do is after you wash it in soap and water, you pour some cooking oil on to a paper towel or napkin and basically grease it after drying the pan out. You only do this to the inside and I guess it prevents rusting. Anyways くコ:彡]
"Lemon pepper right?" Toya ask, jokingly, as I pick up mine and my boyfriend's plates. "Don't forget the ginger." I reply back, confusing almost everyone. I'm guessing Bakugo used cast iron before. I walk go to the elevator, balancing the two plates on my left arms, with some ice, and make my way to my room.
"Dinner for two?" I say softly, entering the room, Izuku is on the bed with his legs crossed and Tenshi asleep. "Thank you!" he smiles as I walk over, closing the door behind me. "You're welcome." I sit next to him, handing him his plate "Warning it's hot." He nods before starting in on his soft tacos. I pick up my soft taco before eating it. Silence fills the room aside from the crunching of lettuce.
"Azula?" Izu says, finishing his first taco. "Yeah?" I pause the eating of my second taco.
"Are you really doing okay? Mentally too?"
Should I tell him?
