Toya, what are you doing?
I wave goodbye to Mom and Tenshi as Cell shows me to my desk. Though I don't think Dad has gotten over his shock of me being his new sidekick, it might take a little while; I should also tell Izu about this as well when I get back to the dorms and about Tenshi being a stowaway.
"This is your station," Cell tells me, gesturing to a desk "you can personalize it how ever you want." Right now it's a simple wooden desk with a desktop computer, land-line desk phone and a spinney chair. I can see Donut a few desks away and an empty one beside mine.
"Okay." I smile, Cell then goes into explaining how the computer is unlocked via fingerprint, which I will have to modify later. "Any questions?" the woman asks, my eyes glance at the empty one as I shake my head.
"Your father was hoping that your twin would be here too, so he put that one in too." Cell explains, I nod understanding. Those that failed the Licensing Exams the first time will be starting some makeup class so that they can retry by the end of the physical year. "Good to know." I smile.
Cell then leaves me to get settled, I start by logging in and setting up the computer take more precision in temperature reading of my finger and to ask for a pin as well. Extra secure.
"So," a new female voice says behind me "you're the newbie huh?" I spin around to face her, a tall woman with short blond hair, curves that would make Mineta drool and a snarky looks that would look cute next to Bakugo's or mine. "Yes I am, may I ask for your alias Senpai?" no need to get in trouble on the first day right?
"I just want you to know that if you try anything to get in one of the top spots as Endeavor's sidekick, you will be done before you can celebrate." she tells me, ignoring my request. Rude!
Sigh "Look," my school girl demeanor gone in an instant "I will get what ever rank that is decided upon. So let me warn you: I am a Cold-hearted Bitch for many reasons. I can do worst things than you can even think of. My advice for you is to buzz off." I give a smile before turning back to my computer.
She turns me back around to face her, little brat. "Don't ignore me." she 'growls', aw cute. I give an airy laugh "Oh honey, I wasn't ignoring you. I was simply done talking to you. Now if I were you, I would be getting back to work before Endeavor comes in." I turn back around and use my ice so that she can't turn me back around.
"Little bitch." she mutters, but don't worry, I corrected her that it's Cold-hearted bitch.
I hear her stomp away, probably to whine without any cheese, I pull out my tablet, along with my phone, and hook them up to my new computer.
Now to figure out which picture is going to be my wallpaper.
I right-click on the chosen one and set it as my background, it the picture of Sho and I just after the festival being rebellious teenagers. [See Fifteen or Sixteen for picture details, I think it's around there.] "Perfect." I smile to myself as I put my personal electronic devices away.
To lunch!
I stretch a little before logging off my computer and getting up, "How was your first morning as a sidekick?" Cell asks, walking over to me. "Alright." I smile deciding not to mention 'Princess' and her remarks.
"Hi Cell!" the Wanna-be she-demon smiles "Is this the newbie that everyone have been talking about?"
"Yes she is, this is Kiki. Kiki, this is Janna." Cell introduces, I give Janna a respectful bow "It's an honor to be working with you, Jan-senpai." I will play along with this game of your's Janna.
"Hey, some of the others are going to the dojo, want to join us?" Seems like she is planning on me saying 'no'.
"I would love to!" beat your asses. For my guess is they are going to gang-up on me.
The younger woman is surprised with my answer, but she takes me down to the dojo anyways.
I walk into the middle of the room, around me are various but not many, sidekicks. Mainly girls, "So, is this the one that sassed you, Jan?" one asks before commenting that I don't look like much. Others starts commenting as well trying to insult me.
I casually pull out my phone to check for any missed messages.
Dad wants to meet up for lunch in his office, I text him saying I will be there in a few.
Izuku asked how things are doing, Sho did too. I begin to reply to Izuku, but the sidekicks got tired of my lack of reaction so they attacked. Some charging in, others using their quirks.
It's only a handful of people, I could take them out easy. But I have lunch waiting.
As they send out their attacks, I simply jump over their head, back flipping toward the elevator with a boost of fire. Phone still in hand "No wonder you are worried about your spots being taken by me." I land flawlessly in front of the elevator, pressing the up button. "And as much as I would love to stay and chat," the door opens behind me "my presence is requested by someone worth the time." I back step into the elevator and bow dramatically as the doors close before they can do anything.
I finish my text to Izu:
A:Things r ok rn. I'll tell u more 2night.
A: Love you.
I send Sho a similar message before I am back at the office floor.
"You wanted to see me Dad?" I pop my head in. He nods, finishing some paperwork, and tell me to come in an sit down. The hero is alone, Mom and Tenshi left while I was working.
I take a seat on the couch, soon joined by my father after bringing out two Bentos. "Shoto asked your mother to deliver you one." Dad tells me, handing me the gray bento box. I nod, I thought Mom made it herself. It's quiet until I open the lunch that Sho packed me: Cold Soba!!
My face lights up, figuratively, and my father chuckles from his end of the couch. I stick my tongue out before taking some of the buckwheat noodles into my mouth. Delicious!
"I was wondering why your principal didn't tell me who it was going to be in his email." Dad remarks opening his bento. "Makes for a better surprise." I shrug before taking another bite of my Soba.
"I guess so." he replies, eating some rice.
"And is the same reason why I didn't tell you on Saturday. I didn't even tell Shoto until this morning." I continue "Though no one really know that I am actually working part-time." Why is it difficult to talk with him? Sure we had our rough patches, but I can talk more freely to fucking Bakugo than my own father. HE'S NOT EVEN RELATED YET!! "Are you going to tell them?" Dad asks me. I shrug "Izuku for sure but everyone else, I don't know."
Lunch soon comes to an end and I say a temporary goodbye to my father before going back to my desk.
Sixty-two chapters! Yeah! I get to retire at Sixty-five right?
Anyways, another heart racing chapter! When I was writing the beginning of lunch, my heart started racing. Am I the only one who has that happen while writing? Let me know!
