One Hundred and Twenty-two

Prt two of Pinterest's timing. Not my screen. Also, Happy Birthday Thirdteen!! (Febuary 3)

"So, is everything set for the invasion?" Hawks asks me as we go to a burglary in-progress; "For the most part." I answer him. We arrive at the scene and the villain is apprehended quickly, allowing me to leave quickly and unnoticed while Hawks distracts the media. Not that he knew that I was going to use him as that, I honestly don't need the attention. Maybe if I try hard enough I can lower my rank a bit without deliberately allowing the criminals to get away! Not that the invasion will help me with that, it's a big operation after all.

"Hey- Kid!" a slurred voice says behind me. Seriously? Drunk mid-afternoon? I turn around and my heart almost stops at the sight of a short man with platinum hair and hazel eyes, despite it been years since I last saw him, I still recognize him. "You're the kid who cost me my job." the former recruiter slurs with a flask in his hand. "I don't know what you are talking about Sir." I say, we are in an alley so we are pretty much alone. 

"Well Azi," the man snears in his drunken state "let me hicc help ya with yer memory problem." his hazel eyes turn a deep sky blue as I fell ice starting to form on my hand. His quirk, similar to Sensei's but the opposite, he can force someone to use their quirk. If it's an emitter type.

"Stop before I arrest you." I state firmly. "Stop? Stop?! Ha!!" he laughs "Nah, Imma gonna make ya loose yer job like ya made me loose mine."

My internal body temperature starts to drop, I try to warm myself up. But it's harder to do so with my icy heart, I mean blood flows through the body. "Sir." my voice with more authority in it "Stop." It is harder not to shiver, especially with it being February. "I don't think I will." the man smirks, I am ready to pin him with some ice but another voice comes to play. "Ito Taiki? Is that you?" Keigo asks behind the man, causing the man to stop using his quirk, at least now I won't cover myself in ice...

"Hawks, long time no see." Ito's attitude changes, though he is still possibly drunk. I better start warming up a bit, at least get the ice off.

I doubt I am noticed, I mean the ally is pretty dim and the only bright color on me is my red hair. "Kiki?" never mind "When did you get here?" Hawks asks, walking over. "Been here the whole time bird brain." I say, my jaw is starting to hurt from keeping my teeth from chattering.

Keigo's look turns quizzitive but it goes back to cheerful. "Respect your elders child, didn't your parents teach you that?" Ito snaps. "Didn't your parents teach you not to use your quirk without a permit?" I retort "And to listen to authorities." I mumble as an after thought.

"Well it was great seeing you Hawks." the man says before walking by me, whispering "We aren't done yet Azi." and leaving.

"You okay Azula?" Keigo asks once he was gone, I nod "Yeah I'm fine, just a little cold."

"A little?"

"Yeah, just a little." I give a bit of a reassuring smile. But he doesn't let me go, literally, as he wraps his wings around me, basically pulling me into a feathery hug "So you warm up faster." he reasons, "Thanks Hawks." I tell him.

After a few minutes I am warmed up to a more comfortable temperature and  we go back to our separate patrols.

It's now closer to the end of my patrol and my body temperature is barely high enough to keep from shivering Coffee might be nice.

I walk into a café that is nice and toasty compared to the 48°F [6°C, yes I googled it] of the outside. "One cappuccino and an apple turnover please." I order once it is my turn, but the girl at the register just stares. Okay? "Is the-"

"You're the Pro Hero Kiki right?" she asks turning a little red. That was not what I was expecting "Uh yes I am." I answer and she sounds the call of a fangirl (you know, squeals) "OMG! I can't believe it! oh right, so just the cappuccino and the apple turnover?" she asks once she regain some composure though she still looks giddy. "That's it." I reply before paying, getting my order and taking a seat more towards the back corner.

The cappuccino hits the spot. I drink it as I check on my emails. I didn't think I would be recognized as a Pro so soon; definitely caught me off guard.

I finish my break and head back out to finish my route before returning to UA. As I look at the bustling street, I see a girl crossing and a car driving to fast to stop in time. Next thing I know, I am running over to the girl, I force the girl down as I make an ice bridge for the car to drive safely over us, since I don't exactly have the over all buffness of Dad to punch the car to a stop nor the quirk like Izuku or Kirishima to stop it. Well I could've used my eye but still.

"You alright?" I ask, getting up, traffic has stopped so I melted the ice. "Yeah, just a bit sore." she answers getting up too, oh hey it's the girl from the café. She looks up at me "Wo-aah! Kiki! I-i didn't think I would see you again!"

"I am full of surprises." I reply before saying that we should probably get out of the street.

"Oh uh right!"

We get to the other side, and the media shows up... Great! "Um excuse me." I tell the media "I have other things to do." Do they move? Nope!

"Can we ask you a few questions about that robbery earlier?"

"Where did you go?"

"Aren't you Endeavor's sidekick?" Where's a more popular hero when you need them? "Look, I have other things to take care of." I say "So if you will excuse me." I leap out of the circle of press and to the top of a nearby building.

"I swear." I run my fingers through my hair as I calm down a bit. I think it's 'bout time for me to head home.

I pull out my beret before buttoning up my shirt and putting my shorts in pants-mode. Once I have my beret set to hide my hair and my scar, I jump down into an alley way before walking on to the crowed sidewalk.

I get to the train station without incident. So far so good! The train isn't crowed today so I got a seat, this is great. I pull out my phone and start checking for any texts, none yet, then I put my earbuds in and start listening to my pop music. Someone had sat down next to me with their kid at the next stop, I don't look over to them, they ain't bothering me.

Some pain starts to flare up at the  bottom of my  rip cage. Heh, I forgot about the hit I took at the robbery. I go to massage it, buuut it made the pain worst to when I put my finger tips on the area. I'll ice it later. I lean back into the seat, trying to forget about the slight pain. Then something crawls onto my lap causing me to look down, then smile. "You got a boo boo?" Tenshi asks, tilting her head a little. I sneak a glance at who she is riding with as I answer "Only a little sweetie."

"Tenshi, try not to bother anyone." my classmate says.

"She's not bothering anyone Izuku." I laugh, taking an earbud out and looking at him. "Ho- Azula! I didn't realize it was you." he blush as Tenshi's face brightens "Mama!" she hugs me, pressing on to the injury making me since "Careful baby, Mama's hurt remember?"

"Sowwy Mama." she snuggles into my non-injured side. "So how was work?" Izuku asks wrapping an arm around me, "A side from dealing with the media and the injury I just remembered? It was fine." I reply, resting my head on his shoulder.
