One Shot: If Azula took that recommendation at age twelve

Please note: Azula is a full Pro and UA Alumni. Toya does not know that she is a Pro and the only heroes that knows that she is a Todoroki is Hawks, Eraserhead, Mirko and Nezu. She almost never used her quirk similar to the beginning of the year and often hides her hair in a beanie when she isn't working, her hair is short-ish, as long as the First User of One for All's.

The first day of the UA students' internship

I sit at my table at Azi's where I had Aizawa, my former homeroom teacher, tell those who accepts my draft to come. But I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't accept, I'm still a rookie, having just graduated, and I doubt anyone heard of me.

"So you're Kiki." I look up and feel a smile come to my face for the first time in awhile. "I am, sit. I'm sure you're hungry after your commute here." I say to my intern. The young hero to-be nods before taking a seat across from me, "Anything you want in particular?" I ask only to be responded with the same dish I was going to order myself.

"So tell me about yourself." I say after Yuki brought us out bowls of Cold Soba. "My name is Todoroki Shoto and my quirk is Half-cold half-hot-" I stop my twin there "I already know that, I don't want the stuff you can find on file, I want to know the things that aren't on paper. Ya know, the usual: your favorite thing, what you hate the most, dreams, ambitions, hobbies. Things like that." I tell him "You don't have to tell me your life story though."

Todoroki seems surprised by this, but nods "Alright, I guess my favorite thing is Cold Soba, what I think I hate the most is my father. My dream was to become a hero without using my left side but I think it changed to just becoming a hero that uh someone that I had lost when I was younger would be proud of. Similarly for my ambitions as for hobbies, I used to do pranks when I was four." Todoroki answers. I give a smile "Interesting answers, for sake of equivalent exchange I will tell you similar things if that is alright."

"That's up to you, you're the Pro." my intern takes another bite of soba. "Well, as you know, my alias is Kiki but when we are not on patrol you can just call me Azula. I am also a fan of Soba along with manga." there is a slight surprised look when I revealed my given name "I really dislike people judging people based on their quirk or lack thereof which go in to my ambition to become a hero that those without quirks or with quirks that people that seem less than par can look up to and maybe become a hero too. My current dream is to see my family again as me. As for my hobbies, mostly training with Gunhead and one of my friends along with cooking.""I'm sorry to hear that you were separated from your family." is my twin's first response. "No need to apologize." I wave of the apology "It's not like it was you who cause it.""I know, but it must be difficult to be away from them."

"I got use to it." I sigh as my phone goes off. A request from Hosu to come in to help with the search for Stain, and probably because they need an extra hand after Ingenium getting attacked by the villain "Oh goodie, we get a field trip." I say, putting my phone away before going back to my food "Where to?" my twin asks. I reply with Hosu.

We finish our food and head over to my place "Since I'm independent and I don't have the money for a fancy smanshy agency we're going to crash at my place." good thing Toya is out "Which isn't much compare to other Pros."

"Fine by me." my twin says as we walk into the apartment building. "Welcome to my humble abode." I bow, opening the front door Todoroki enters and I follow, locking the door behind me as habit. "Usually my roommate would be here but he is out doing something so we don't have to worry about him." I am talking too much aren't I? "Ah, anyways down the hall is a bathroom and my room where you can sleep and I can take the couch since we will be in Hosu tomorrow."

"I can sleep on the couch or a futon since I am the guest."

"Nope! Already decided now go and shower or what ever, we got a big day tomorrow." I say, he just sighs in defeat before excusing himself to shower. Which allows me to finally take of my beanie, revealing my crimson and white hair. I'm not sure how I will do this since I have my hair out while working. Not that it had mattered because I work mostly at night and without worry of people seeing me. I sit down on the couch, leaning into the back and letting out a deep breath. I hope I don't screw up.

I must've not been paying attention to everything as I hear Shoto "Hey Azula, are you st-" I turn to look at him, wondering why he stopped mid-sentence "Something up?" I ask tilting my head. One minute Shoto was standing at the end of the hall the next he is tackling me in a hug, oh, I don't have my beanie on. "You're alive." is all he says as I hug him back tightly, "Of course I am, not even hell can kill me that easily." I reply as I tear up a little.

After a more official reunion, I go change and get the rest of my day pack packed up since I'm not sure how long it will be until Stain is caught. "You know Sis," Shoto says "I'm still not so sure about sleeping on the couch."

"Well I ain't letting you sleep on it and I am not sleeping in my roommate's bed so unless you want to sleep in the same bed." I start, looking up at him.

"My thoughts exactly actually." my twin answers. I mean what could go wrong.

Time skip

"One room please." I ask the receptionist at the hotel Sho and I will be staying in while we are here in Hosu. "Do you know how long you will be staying?" she ask. "A few days or so." She nods before handing Sho and I our keys with our room number. "Do you if anyone else was asked to help?" Shoto ask me as we head up with our duffle bags. "No one else that I can think of, since most have their agencies so it's easier to call in an independent." I reply "Though I won't be surprised if Father invites himself in since Stain is in the area." the elevator doors open and speak of the Devil and he will come. "Endeavor, Cell! Long time no see." I smile, Cell, my father's top sidekick gives me a warm smile but my father ignores me and instead looks at my twin beside me "Shoto, I am surprised to see you with this brat for your internship." he says warmly. "Hey!" I counter before Sho can say anything "Those private lessons with Hawks costed me a lot of chicken." I am actually pretty good friends with him and Mirko. Hell, they both know that I am Endeavor's daughter, even though my father doesn't yet.

"My teacher had highly recommend me to spend the week with Kiki. But you were also an option." Sho says in a monotone. "Well, see ya Cell!" I smile, taking my twin's wrist "Later 'Deavor." before dragging my twin down the hall to our assigned room.

"You've met Cell?" Shoto asks me as we enter the room. "Surprise surprise, I spent my internship and work study with Father." I reply "But he doesn't know that it's, well, me."

"I guess our prankster past helped with that." Sho remarks, setting his stuff down on one of the beds [There's two, I am literally basing this off the only hotel I've been to] "A bit actually, along with stubbornness." I shrug sitting down on the other one, pulling out my cellphone to text Manual about talking with him during his break to see if he has noticed anything.

"So what are we going to do Sis?" Sho sits down beside me, "Main thing is to meet up with the Normal Hero Manual about setting up a patrol schedule, more or less, between us to better keep an eye out for Stain." I reply just as the said hero texts me a response to meet him at his agency. "Suit up Sho," I smile at my twin "we got a hero to meet up with."

Zoom! 📹

"Kiki." Manual greets me as Sho and I walk into his office "Thank you for coming to help us on such sort notice. And you have an intern too?"

"Yup!" I smile as Shoto introduces himself. Just as I notice Manual's intern. He's a bit taller than me, much like Sho, in a suit of armor that looks very familiar. "You're Ingenium's little brother." I remark, looking at the knight. "I am ma'am." he replies "My name is Tenya."

"Nice to finally meet you, your brother talked a lot about you." I smile, Ingenium is another hero I am pretty good friends with. Sometimes I would patrol for him when Tenya had something major going on. "Though you don't need to keep up with the formalities, I wouldn't be surprised if I'm the second youngest one here." I add, rubbing my neck a little. "Well, let's get down to business." Manual says, "We're dealing with the Huns too?" I ask. Wow, I am way more hyper than normal and I didn't even have any coffee this morning, another big wowser.

Day Three, 1700

Shoto and I start our second day of patrols, leaping from roof to roof, keeping our eyes peeled. "Sis," Sho says "I'm pretty sure you have gone crazy." I give a bit of a smirk "I'm not that crazy Otōto." I pause on a roof so that Shoto can catch up. "How are you moving so quickly then?" he asks, him beside me once again. "Burst of fire here and there gives me a boost." I shrug, I mean I never told him that I was quirkless, just never said what my quirk is.

"What is yo- KA-BOOM!!" obviously my brother does not have an explosion quirk. It sounds like the explosion was nearby. "Let's go." I say before testing myself off the building before landing painlessly on the streets below. I look up, seeing Sho still on the roof. "I know I shouldn't encourage this," I call up "but fucking jump! I'll catch you!!"

"If you don't, Dad won't like it." he calls back before jumping. I hold my arms out, moving slightly before my brother lands in my arms bridal style "Come here often?" I ask with a closed-eye smile. "I swear to God Sis." he mumbles as I set him down and we run towards the explosion."What the fucking hell?" I mutter upon seeing what can only be described as a dino-zombie with it's brain sticking out. "It looks like what attacked us at the USJ, only ours was black." Shoto says; "Okay, stay here and if someone says otherwise tell them Kiki said, 'kay?" I don't wait for a response before running over to it, making an ice sword and ready myself to stab it in the brains. I mean, it's not human from what I can tell, but before I reached the brains a blast of fire comes towards me, hitting my right eye before I can get out of the way. "Sheesh, I didn't know I needed to call dibs!" I yell at my father as I put my left hand over my right eye. "Kiki!" Shoto calls, holding up his phone. So I run over to him as he starts running, "What's up?" I ask as we run, "I think one of my friends is in trouble." he says. It might be Stain.

"Shoto," I say as we turn and I turn on my recording headset "legally you can't use your quirk to help. But, if it is Stain then I am giving you my permission to use it. I'll deal with the legal stuff later."

"Understood." he nods.

I don't even need to look as we get there to know who we are up against "So many fools out there are nothing but talk, but you are worth keeping alive, unlike these other." The Hero Killer says as, I am guessing to be Sho's friend, yells "OH CRAP!! NO, DON'T!!" while I pull out my real sword. But Sho steps in and send a blast of fire, causing Stain to jump away from Tenya (really?) "One after another, so many interruptions today." I hear ya Stain.

"Midoriya," My twin says as I notice the other kid I drafted "learn to write better directions. We were almost too late."

"We?"

"Honestly Stain," I sigh, walking over with a mock disappointed look "we really need to stop meeting up like this." I tell him before brandishing his old sword "people are going to talk.""You!" the villain growls, "Miss me much?" I wink before running over to attack while Sho's peers are surprised "Todoroki, Kiki you too?" "But how'd you...? And your left...!! And..."

"How?" Sho says as I dodge "that's my line." before he goes into a bit of a monologue "Some more Pros should be here in a few," I yell "but for now you got me."

"Don't let him draw your blood!" Midoriya yells "Pretty sure he paralyzes opponents by ingesting their blood! That's how he got us!"

"Explains all the blades." man, he got a worst addiction that Toga. "Let's dance Stain!" I smile as I do a flip "Surely as your favorite hero I deserve that much since I doubt Endeavor and All Might has gotten the honor of meeting you." I gotta keep them away from the kids and Native since I don't know if there is a time limit. "Kiki!" Sho yells as Stain throws some knives "Shoto watch out!!" I yell before hearing a shk shk of knives hitting their target. I glance over to see who was hit and where. Oh hell naw Bitch he hit Shoto in the arm thankfully. But no one hurts my baby brother. No one.

"Above!" I glance up to see Midoriya "SOMEHOW I CAN MOVE AGAIN JUST FINE!!" he yells as he drags Stain away from me.

"That's good." I mumble as I land beside my twin "Now get your ass over here.""All of you need to stop this." Tenya says "This is my fight."

"Correction," I sigh "it was your fight, which is technically illegal. So you are going to have to make me stop."

"Get back Midoriya!" Shoto yells before sending ice towards Stain. "So he tasted our blood and paralyzed us. But I was the first to break free somehow." Midoriya says. So there is a time limit, but based on what? It doesn't matter, what matters is that this villain hurt my baby brother and that is something I don't take lightly. "You two stay back and protect the others." I order, glaring in Stain's direction "Sho, you just watch my back."

"Kiki, Shoto, me and Gran Torino are on our way over and Endeavor will be coming soon after." Cell says in my head thanks to her quirk. "We just need to hold of for a few more minutes." I inform the others that have not met Cell. I run toward Stain with my sword out, aiming to slice him even just a little.

"You made a mistake seeking me out again, Endeavor child." Stain says "I may have let you go unscathed once, but this time you won't be so lucky." two knives come my way, this time hitting their mark of my left arm. Which was a good thing since I am able to freeze the wounds over before any of my blood could spill out. "Oh no Stain, it is you who made the mistake when you harmed Shoto." my voice a low growl "And as his twin, this is something I don't take lightly." "DETROIT SMASH!!" Midoriya yells from above as ice pins Stain, that was not from me. Well, the good news is that we got Stain, but not before two knives imbedded themselves into my right calf. Really? Not to mention the one time I don't have my handcuffs. Seriously!

"You okay?" Shoto asks me as blood runs down the back of my leg, I nod "Yeah, it's not that bad."

"Can you walk at least?" Shoto ask, again I nod and off we went. "Kiki! Shoto!" Cell calls as we exit the alley, she was running towards us along with an older gent, must be Gran Torino. "Hiya Cell!" I smile should I mention that I have ice over my burnt eye so I am only using my left eye right now?

To the Hospital 🏥

"ARRRGGGG!" I groan, already bored out of my mind even though it has only been a few hours since we had arrived. And to make things kinda worst is that I am in my own room, I mean ya I'm a girl but I don't give two shits in space.

My leg and arm wrapped up with bandages over my right eye, preventing sight. So, I do the only reasonable thing to do that won't get my in trouble with the doctors and nurses: I call Rumi 'cause I think Hawks has patrol.

Cue phone call:

"Rumi-chan!!!" I whine as soon as she picked up "Save me!!"

"What's up?" she asks, "I'm in the hospital and I'm bored out of my mind even though it has only been a few hours."

"You want me to visit don't ya?" she asks, "Pretty please? With carrots on top?"

"Fine fine, I'll bring some soba over too." Rumi agrees before hanging up the phone. Score!It's still awhile until Rumi shows up, with some else beside her. A woman that looks about the same age as Hawks (early-twenties) bearing glasses and white hair with flecks of red. Good thing I have my beanie on "You're Shoto's older sister." I state more than ask, looking at my elder sister. She nods "I am, just call me Fuyumi." we shake hands as I introduce myself as Kiki. "Here's your soba kid!" Rumi hands me a bag, causing me to grin. "Your the hero Shoto is interning with." Fuyumi says, and I nod my head "Yup! Sorry for allowing him to get hurt." I say, bowing my head in form of apology. But my sister waves it off before saying that she has to go, Fuyumi probably would visit Sho but he's most likely asleep with how late it is.

"Mirko, why the fucking hell did you bring her?" I hiss, "Didn't you miss her?" Rumi asks, sitting on the bed. "Yeah, but I sure the hell did not want to see her while I'm in the hospital." I slump a bit, the mood of soba kinda ruined a bit. "Does Shoto know?" Mirko asks, I give a nod before her asking if my father knows yet. "Like that will be easy." I huff "it's not like I can go 'Hey Endeavor, I know this might seem crazy but I know that Shoto has an older twin long before going to your agency. And to make it better, she ain't dead yet because she is me!' Come on Rumi, he wouldn't buy that." I lean back on my bed.

"You haven't even tried Azula, has he even seen you without your beanie." my friend asks, but the door opens before I can respond. I half expected a doctor or nurse coming in to check on me to to tell us to shut up.

But boy was I wrong. "Oh, hey Endeavor." I wave, forcing on a smile, he seems different. "Mirko, leave." he says but it sounds more requested than ordered. "Sure thing," she say "and you better eat that soba kid." with that, my friend leaves, shutting the door behind her. "What's up Endeavor?" I ask him, only for the response to be a hug. A fucking hug, trying to make me cry old man? Wait is he crying?! "Endeavor? Are you okay?" I ask, tentatively hugging him back."After all these years- I though I had lost you." Father says, did he hear me and Mirko talking?"How did I not realize this before?" I think that was more for himself. "Because I'm a master at pranks, you should know this Dad." I sigh resting my head on him. Just in time for him to take a step back, meanie, so I took my beanie off "I though I was seeing things." my father chuckles."And Sho probably thought my name was a coincidence." I smile.
