Rachel led Percy and Thalia down the Labyrinth corridors. She could see a glowing trail that showed the safest way through the deadly traps. After about a half hour, Rachel's path took them to a cavern with a sphinx sitting on front of a desk.

"Welcome, heroes." The sphinx rumbled. "You may pass, but not before answering my questions."

"That works," Percy shrugged. He sat down at the desk. "Ask away."

"What's the capital of North Dakota?" The sphinx asked.

"Bismarck."

"What's true about the base angles of an isosceles triangle?"

"They are congruent."

"What property of water helps it stick together?"

"Its polarity."

Thalia decided to interrupt. "Those aren't the questions you usually ask."

"No, they're not," the sphinx answered. "It's no fun asking questions that people are waiting for, that spoils things. I'm asking a new sort of question. There are only a few more left."

"Please, continue." Percy requested.

"See, now that's a wise boy. Who scored the winning goal 2014 World Cup and what is his nationality?"

"Mario Gotze, German."

"On which continent is Papua New Guinea located?"

"Oceania."

"You have passed the exam! Congratulations, you are now allowed to continue with the Labyrinth."

Percy, Thalia, and Rachel passed through the arch, only to find themselves in a massive coliseum full of monsters. Looking around, Percy saw that in the middle of the coliseum a Cyclopes was doing some sort of a victory dance over the gold dust of a monster that he had just killed.

"I see you have arrived, demigods." Luke's voice boomed out from the balcony where he sat on a large platform. Giant guards grabbed Thalia and Rachel. "Welcome to your doom."
