Half Blood Hill

"Run! They're almost on us! I'll hold them off as long as I can. You need to get into camp!" Thalia yelled at Luke and Annabeth.

Annabeth looked worried. She didn't want to leave Thalia behind, but it wasn't logical to believe that they could outrun the legion of monsters sent after them.

"Go!" Thalia yelled again.

Luke nodded. "We should." So they ran, trying to make the border before the monsters caught up with them.

A Cyclopes charged Thalia. She tried to ward it off with her shield, but whatever fear it felt for the shield was far outweighed by its fear for its master. The beast swatted Thalia aside like an annoying fly and continued charging after Luke and Annabeth. Annabeth was still running strong for camp, but Luke knew it was hopeless. There was no way they could outrun a monster nearly a hundred yards. Luke also knew that fighting a beast would be futile. There was simply nothing he could do. "Sorry, Annie," he whispered to Annabeth as he awaited death.

Suddenly, a large, black blur erupted from nowhere. The blur hit into the Cyclopes, knocking it back slightly. Now that it had stopped moving, Annabeth and Luke could see that the blur was a very large wolf. They were very surprised to see the wolf morph into a man. It was hard to tell his age, he was wearing a hood that covered his head, but age hardly mattered. They had a chance at being saved. The man pulled a sword out of the sheath on his shoulder and stabbed the monster as it was still on the ground, turning it into gold dust. He immediately stepped back into a fighting stance, guarding Luke and Annabeth from the monsters.

"Go!" He yelled in an unnaturally deep voice. It was being faked, but Annabeth and Luke didn't know that. However, what the did know was that they were surely dead unless they made it to camp. Thalia had failed defending them, but this new man looked like he knew what he was doing. After the pair made it over the camp border, they looked back at their hooded helper. He was on a hill that was covered in a layer of gold monster dust. There were two monsters left. Furies. The man made quick work of them. Turning back into a wolf, he ran back down the hill to wherever he had come from. As he left, a bolt of lightning came down from the sky and hit Thalia, who turned into a tree.

Camp Half Blood
Present Day

Percy woke up from his dream of when he first met Annabth. He could smell people in the room with him, so he acted asleep in case they said something important.

"Is he a demigod?" Someone asked. From the voice, it was a male. He smelled of old books. Another child of Athena.

"Yes, Malcolm. Are we even related? If he wasn't a demigod he wouldn't have been able to come in the border." Annabeth was fooled. Since she was the head of the Athena cabin, her siblings would back her up in her vouch that he was a demigod. If that was even needed. It had been pretty easy to get this far.

Neither Malcolm or Annabeth were saying anything. Percy could sense that they were both looking at him.

"He's stopped drooling. I think he's waking up," Annabeth whispered to Malcolm. Percy cursed himself mentally for slipping up. Cracking one eye open, he looked at Annabeth and her brother.

"Good morning!" He greeted them.

Annabeth checked her watch. "It's nearly noon"

"Whatever." Percy swung his legs out of bed and stood up. "Where am I?" He asked.

"You're at Camp Half-Blood. It's the only safe place for people like us. For other Half-Bloods." Annabth answered.

Percy nodded. "So I'm a half-blood? What's that?"
