Grady Memorial Hospital. The biggest hospital in this whole county. And of course, we happened to be stuck here. I came here a lot when I was younger, with my breathing problems. And if I know one thing about Grady Memorial, it's that you get lost. And in this situation, being lost means death.

"Grady Memorial..." I mumble under my breath, thoughts overtaking me.

"What..?

"That's where we are. Grady Memorial Hospital." I turn to Daryl. "There's a map of the hospital in almost every hallway. If we can get to one, we can find an exit and get the hell out of here!"

"Yeah, but won't there be a lot of people?"

"You're right." I say. "With this amount of space, they're going to maximize the use of it. They probably are taking people in. But then-" I continue talking to myself, trying to put this puzzle together. Out of nowhere, sirens erupt throughout the tiny closet. I cover my ears.

I cover my ears and turn toward Beth. She has her ears covered, too.

"We have to get the hell out of here!" I yell, hoping she'll hear me over these sirens. She nods and we stand. I open the door of the closet. No one could prepare for what is out there.

(It's like P.O.V central up in here!😂)

Dead bodies are littered everywhere, like rag dolls thrown on the carpet, each one of them with a bullet through the head. I step toward one of them and examine it. It's a middle-aged man, with a rifle strapped to his back. I take it and take a knife, too. I look over to Daryl, who is taking weapons off of dead bodies, too. I check to make sure mine's loaded. Luckily, it is. I take a deep breath and turn down the hall.

More bodies cover the ground. I try not to look at them, and hope they got a nice bullet through the head. The sirens are still ringing through the air, but I've gotten used to them. I walk slowly behind Daryl, rifle at the ready. He holds his hand out, motioning me to stop. I stop as he looks down the hall. Out of nowhere, a gunshot rings through the air. I feel a strong pain in my stomach and fall to the ground.

"Beth!" I recognize Daryl's voice immediately. I hear more gunshots, and Daryl comes down next to me. I stare at my hands; they're drenched in blood.

"Do you.. see an..exit wound." I whisper, my vision fading.

"No. No! Why the hell does that matter!?" Daryl screams. I start to respond, when everything goes black.

(I am so sorry for all of these😂)

"Beth? Beth!?" I yell, shaking her. "Are you fucking kidding me right now!?" I pick her up, being careful of her stomach area. She's still breathing. I hear footsteps down the hall before I can even move. I hold out my gun, ready to fire. Rick rounds to corner.

"Daryl?" He runs toward me, and notices Beth immediately.

"C'mon, let's go." He says. We run down twisting halls, finally coming to the exit. The cold night air hits me, but I ignore it and keep going. Rick motions to the truck and we all pile in. I lay Beth in the back seat. We start driving.

I lay Beth down on the bed in the farm house. Finally safe. Hershel rushes in.

"Can you save her?" I ask.

"I'll try." He says, as he takes out his medical supplies.
