Darkness can't always be darkness There needs to be a shred of light in it for us to recognize it as darkness in the first place. Yes, what I'm implying is that even in the darkest situations or in the darkest people which and who seem to bring even more darkness to a world that sometimes is already too dark, there indeed was or is some crumb of light.
And light, well... light is a curious thing. Sometimes one may think that it comes in an overwhelming bolt of brightness, but it doesn't. Light usually comes in small amounts. It comes with the little things. We just have to be open to the possibility of finding it or of it finding us.
Darkness and light, the perfect balance in life.
I gotta come clean. There is one person I haven't told you about. Someone I met a very very long time.
It is beyond my memory the first time I saw her. But there's one thing I'm sure of, it changed my life forever.
She's always been a tough-looking woman, not in a physical kind of way, in a personality kind of way. The way she conducts herself reflects the huge amount of inner strength that runs through her veins. The moment you lay your eyes on her, you just know she could take on almost anything. That is one of the things that I've always admired about her, and for a good reason. Life had dealt her a hand full of hard situations to overcome, and she always rises more powerful and stronger than ever.
Her beauty is beyond standard. She is a somehow medium-large woman, with a small waist and big hips Just like those 60's beauties. She has these big brown hypnotizing eyes, a beautiful smile, a straight short and somewhere between dark brown and light red hair, beautiful delicate and slim hands, and a confidence in herself that puts out of the way any small or big so-called defect that she might have, like her slightly darkened teeth or her pale skin.
She is without a doubt one of the most brilliant people I have ever met. She majored in psychology, did a masters, and then a Ph. D to continue with her training. She knows everything there is to know about social and cognitive responses in people, regarding human emotions. Hearing her talk about her craft is amazing. She can blow your mind in a matter of seconds.
Along your way, you'll find a few who will amaze you with their brilliance, but there's a relatively small number of people that have the work ethic, the commitment, and the perseverance to endure and follow the path that only brilliant minds can create. It requires hard work and dedication. She has all of the above. There's no place she can't go or no goal she can't reach if she puts her mind to it. She is an overachiever and a true goal seeker. She does what it takes without any hesitation at all.
She proved this on and on every time she went abroad for academic degrees in very prestigious institutions like Stanford and UCSD. Always achieving being the best GPA in her class, even since preschool.
She works with people well recognized in her field of expertise, doing research and managing investigation projects. She knows everyone you have to know if you want to have a wonderful and successful career in social psychology.
She is in the zone. There is no stopping her, no bringing her down.
Most of the time she knows how to be on the good side of people. She is outgoing and sociable, she always has an interesting and pleasant conversation, which makes her a very enjoyable companion.
Solidarity comes naturally to her. When anyone reaches out to her with a problem or conflict situation, she does her best to listen carefully and later give heartfelt advice. She cares about people, and always tries to find a way to help them, even if it is just with a small gesture.
