"Let's see what grew from what I planted with weekend." Kelri stepped on the scale She craned over her head to look past her belly. The scale beeped and registered her weight at 154 pounds. Kelri recorded it in her planner under Monday 11/16. "Surprise it was my belly..."

In the mirror her growth was evident. She ran her hands against her softer hips and butt but paid the most attention to her ever growing belly. It grew up, down, to the sides, and out. Her bra now dug even more into the growing fat beneath it. She gave herself a smirk and a pat on the side of her stomach as if to acknowledge its growth. She slid on her new maternity work clothes. A nice pair of black low cut slacks, and a long solid red stretchy shirt. Even without anything in her stomach she looked well into a pregnancy. She gave herself an approving nod and made her way to work.

Connor's desk was her first stop of the day after clocking in. Absentmindedly she rested her hand on top of her soft belly.

"Oh hi, Kelri!" Connor spun around and started to stand, but stopped.

"Hi. Connor. I just wanted to make it clear that I had a great time this past weekend." She stumbled over her words as she thought about the weekend." Great time. I - well I hope you did - I hope to have more like it. That's all." Why am I so nervous? I've talked to him for years! It was just sex.

"Oh." Connor blushed and scratched at his stubble. "That's good news! I'm always happy to have "

"We should still keep it professional at work though. Just to be careful." Just sex. It was way more than that. The things he said...

"Right. Of course. Does this mean I can't say nice things to you here?"

Kelri Stepped back on one heel and smiled. You better not stop saying those things. "What is the thing HR says? 'If you see something, say something'? Well... I'd say the same applies here."

Connor nodded. "You're prettier than ever."

Kelri laughed. Her stomach jiggled from the spasms.

"So uh, about that phone call. With the my - no - our friend the secret advisor?"

She tilted her head back, groaned, and slouched. "That bastard. He's been manipulating me. Both of us. He's the reason I've gotten - well - fat." Kelri blushed. "He also pushed us together."

"I suppose I should thank him then." Connor stared openly at Kelri's belly.

Kelri followed his eye. Instinct said to cough or point it out, but she stopped herself. With a smirk she gave herself a soft pat, drawing more attention to it. "Maybe. I'm just worried. Scared about what else he's going to do. Who does that? Just pushes two people together on a whim."

"Well. I've talked to him for years. He's been nothing but a good listening to me. Never done anything to hurt me."

Kelri sighed. "For now. But... We should get to work."

"Right. Thanks for stopping by, beautiful."

Kelri stopped mid turn. A smile and a red hue washed across her face. She turned back, leaned against the cubical wall. She grabbed the bottom of her shirt and peeled it upwards revealing her soft fat belly. Now free, it jiggled, pressing down against the waistband on her pants.

Connor stammered and sat up straight in his chair, eyes affixed.

Kelri ran her hand up and down the side of it. "This is me nearly empty. I - this -" She stammered over her words. What am i even doing? Oh but the way he's staring. Keep looking. Her mind was a chaotic stream of comments from the past month. "This should be how I look right after an eating contest. And I'm empty. Well, nearly empty. What do you think of that?"

Connor ran his hands down his face. "Wow. That's a thing to see at work... Keep up the good - well, you know - work!"

She laughed. "Is that all you have to say?"

"What? You're gorgeous!"

Kelri smiled and covered herself back up and returned to her desk. She leaned back in her chair and rest both hands on her stomach. Kelri what the hell are you doing. I guess... If this is how I am for awhile. I best make the most of it.

Her phone buzzed. An email. From him. The Secret Advisor.

The message was short. "I've considered what you said. If you want to meet me come to cubicle 781 on your floor."

Kelri got to her feet and marched with purpose. You asshole. You're going to get what's coming to you.

The name on cubical 781 was "Maia Thorne - Department Neuro-Technical Development". She rushed into the doorway.

Maia was short. She was a bit taller than Kelri. Even more so with her heels. Unlike her current figure, she was a skinny woman with wide hips constrained with tight dress slacks. Her white fitted button down shirt accentuated her slender waist, and exaggerated her hips. She turned. The skin at the edges of her hazel eyes crinkled as she smiled. Her hair was wavy and voluminous, and a dark shade of green and teal. Hanging free, her hair framed her narrow jaw and high cheekbones in a flattering manner. She glanced down at Kelri's stomach briefly then met her eyes again.

"Hi!" Maia greeted with enthusiasm.

"Uh - hi. I got you message to come say hello?" Kelri squinted.

"It must have been someone else. I haven't gotten my email migrated over to the new office yet. Nice that someone if helping me meet new coworkers. I'm Maia. Nice to meet you!"

Kelri met her with a firm handshake. " Oh. My mistake then. Regardless, I'm Kelri Rivera. I manage Clinical Aggregation."

"Ahh, a peer not an employee. Great to meet you and thanks for stopping by and not just sending a templated email."

"So uhh - who advised you to take the position?"

Maia turned to continue sprucing up her cubicle with a few pictures of family and friends. "No one. I was promoted from another part of the health system. Saw the opening. Applied. Got it! Thrilled to have a job to do with my major."

"Well, glad to have you aboard. Good luck settling in. Good luck with your new underlings. And uhh - Feel free to stop by if you have any questions."

Maia turned back "Thanks! I will."

Kelri returned to her desk slouching with embarrassment. She pulled out her phone and tapped out a message to the Secret Advisor. "Who the hell was that? Either that was you playing a fucking game, or that wasn't you at all. What the hell? Are you just going to send me to every person who isn't you just to fuck with me?"

He responded with his expected haste. "No that wasn't me. In time however she'll be able to give you information that will lead to me."

"What does that even mean? If you're willing to do that, why not just tell me!"

"Because it will be so much more satisfying when you learn who I am for yourself."

Kelri tossed her phone on to the desk and logged onto her computer for work.
