The new furniture in her office was more or less where she requested it. Her desk was wide with a glass top and arched brass fixtures holding it up. The coffee table next to the huge corner sofa was in the same style. All the new brass made the office match with the bronze statues in the atrium below. Kelri wandered back and forth through her office making sure she wasn't going to risk breaking something because of her huge size.
With her pathways of movement secured she collapsed onto her new couch. She laid back to let her belly pin her to the cushions. After a huff she slapped her side. With a swipe, she unlocked her phone and checked through the applicant list. Fuck. Do I hire a normal candidate? Or do I do like the Secret Advisor asks? I guess that question is more important to filling my old slot than for a secretary position. Shit. I don't exactly want a secretary who is going to hate me or judge me. Regardless, I need to interview people. At least, It doesn't hurt to see how they'll fit. But that leaves another question. Do I hire people who are already in Cozca? Or ones who may join later?
Kelri wrestled with her questions all afternoon as she interviewed people for her secretary position. All the people - both fetishistically relevant and not - did well on their interviews. None of them really stood out however. Just before lunch she had the last of the candidates for the secretary position brought in.
"Hi, I'm Su Okuba. It's a pleasure to meet you." She was clearly of Japaneese descent and had jet black hair in a short pixie haircut. The confidence of her posture was enhanced by her finely tailored suit.
After shaking her hand Kelri offered her a seat. She collapsed into her own chair. Kelri knew a lot more about Su than she put on her resume thanks to Cozca's app on her phone. It had her tagged as being somewhat bicurious, a belly and fat fetishist, and being loyal to a fault. The loyalty tag intrigued Kelri, but what really caught Kelri's eye was that she was not a member of or informed about Cozca yet. In her mind, even though Cozca was about networking, it wouldn't hurt to build someone's loyalty to herself before she joined up.
Kelri opened conversation with one of her more pressing employment related questions. "I read that before applying here, you were a doctor. I'm curious why a doctor would apply for a secretary position?"
"Right for the hard questions. Okay. Okay." Su's confidence faltered. She looked down into her lap, took a breath and continued. "I was a doctor. And then I had my medical license revoked. Now naturally your next question is 'why was your license revoked?' and that's a good question. I'll be perfectly up front about it. I lied about a patient's medical history and forged documents to make sure that my patient got a transplant. They're still alive because of me. When the transplant board found out they were of course furious. I may have punched one of them. And that's the water-cooler trimmed down version of it." Su gave an awkward smile and stilted laugh to try and smooth the edges of the story.
"Was it a good punch?" Kelri cocked her head.
"I did boxing in college."
Kelri gave a single laugh. "Why exactly would you risk that for a patient?"
"Because I care more about life than liability and insurance profit margins. To be clear, I worked with this patient for years. They would have been denied over their weight, but their weight wasn't the cause of their liver failure. The patient's liver was destroyed by an amatoxin. A friend picked the wrong type of mushrooms to put into a fancy meal. Turns out it was a Destroying Angel. Luckily we caught it early enough so he wasn't killed but - other than their weight issues, they were a perfect candidate for transplant. I wasn't about to let them die because they liked cheeseburgers."
"I can see that would be an awful position to be in. For both of you. Besides that..." Kelri moved onto some more standard questions that Su was much happier to answer. Satisfied with her answers, Kelri moved onto more personal queries.
"Hobbies? I keep active. I didn't keep up with the boxing. Swimming. Golfing. Running. I do what I can. If I can't do those things then I read. Not really much more than that. Honestly I have a lot more free time than I know what to do with since I lost my practice."
A lull in the conversation left Kelri considering her next words. I should ask her about the fetishistic stuff. Maybe. The Secrets Advisor's data has been pretty damn accurate, so what else do I need to know? I mean, I suppose it would be good for her to know that I know. If she takes it badly then she would probably take it badly whenever I told her. If she can handle such a strange and random question during an interview then maybe there isn't actually a better candidate... Kelri sighed. "So this is going to be a really weird series of questions..."
"Alright..." Su squinted and cocked her head.
"I'm sure you've noticed, but I'm something of a large woman. Is that going to be a problem for you?"
Su cocked her head the opposite direction. "Hah. I'm not a doctor anymore so I'm not going to lecture you on eating habits. But your weight isn't something I'm bothered by or concerned with."
"And if I told you I intend to get even bigger?" Kelri avoided wincing. Oof, a bit forward but... Well too late now.
"I'm sorry? I don't understand what this is about."
Kelri interlocked her fingers and rested them on top of her belly. "Our organization is very good at gathering data and making guesses about people. Our information suggests that you have something of an affinity for uhh -" Kelri paused to find the right word. Instead she ended the sentence to a heavy pat to her belly.
"Oh. Ohhhh." Su widened her eyes. "Is that part of this job? Are you asking for a favor or something for the position? That's not... I'm not a..."
"Oh no! That's not what I meant." Kelri chuckled and assured her with outstretched hands. "Nothing like that. I'm just eager to have a secretary who is of a similar mindset."
"Oh. Well..." She stared at the ground. "Your information is very good. I'm honestly a little concerned how you learned it but then again this city is full of technological wonders." Su blushed a little and laughed. She looked back up at Kelri. "I have to say - that question wasn't on any interview prep sites I used. But yes. I like bigger people. You're quite good looking and I think you getting bigger is a good thing as well. Oh god, did I say that? Is that over sharing? The question was over asking to be fair. Sorry."
"You're fine. I think it's a topic that we can discuss in more detail later though."
"Later? As in..."
"I'd like to hire you if you think you're up for the job? I think you'll make a perfect fit."
"Of course I'd like the job. I wouldn't have come here if I didn't. Though I have to admit it seems like it may be weirder than I expected. I'm excited to start though."

After lunch Kelri collapsed into her new couch again. With her constant eating, lunch was hardly different than any other hour of the day. Lunch was just an hour to go eat somewhere else other than the office. She was way past stuffed due to the weight gain shake she chugged. Most of her lunch was spent accepting her temporary state of immobilizing fullness. Ugh. Maybe I should just promote Connor to my old position. No. That's a bad idea. He doesn't have the skill set or experience. And I don't want to encourage that kind of nepotism. So what do I do? Hire a non fetishy lady? What if she ends up getting fat and steals Connor? Am I really considering that? He's not like that. But still... Should I be considering a lady? Maybe I should just buck against Hugo's trends even more and hire a guy.
Kelri looked through her contacts and found someone looking to transfer upward in the company. Double checking with her Cozca app she found that he had feeder tendencies and a taste for larger women. She set up the interview.
