On the upper balcony outside her bedroom, Myre scratched on a drawing pad. In the hours since dawn she filled up her page with a stylized replica of the view in front of her. She had drawn the exact picture dozens of times, and so as she shaded a cliff in the foreground her mind wandered to the night before. She saw Rachel as her belly jiggled walking over to pay her. She saw two women pressing their soft bellies together. Her mind filled up with all the overweight women at the conference. With a laugh she shook the images from her mind. The inspiration for the landscape was gone. No amount of starring brought back her motivation. She flipped to the next page in the notebook. While nibbling at her bottom lip, she started a new sketch.

She lined up ovals at an angle then added a few lines off them. Eraser crumbs blew into the wind as she repositioned the lines. Her phone clicked as she unlocked it to reference a picture. With slow deliberate strokes a pinup of herself took form on the page. Maybe I can use this as a logo or something when it's done. The legs and arms took shape. Her long wavy hair, and welcoming smile followed after. After drawing the torso she stopped herself. Oh that's wrong. That's not how my stomach is shaped. She erased the lines on her stomach. But...Thoughts of the bellies from the night before returned. She relived her fantasies of dressing up her nonexistent belly.

Using her imagination she exaggerated the mistaken line. Erasing and redrawing left a very different midsection. Where previously there was a mostly flat stomach, now there was a full looking chubby tummy. With a smirk she returned to the rest of the pinup. She redrew the arm to be patting its newfound chub. With the rest of the body well defined something left her dissatisfied. Most of those girls were much bigger than this. Eraser crumbs filled the sheet again and were blown away in the alpine wind. She replaced the chub with a full round belly like Rachel's. It wasn't enough. With further strokes of the eraser, she increased the size of the belly to that of Kelri's almost beach ball sized belly. Heat washed into her face as she erased it again to make it even bigger. Pinup Myre's belly overflowed her elevated lap. She added a ribbon around her waist and penciled 'Myre's Ice Cream' on it. With deftness she poured on details. Pinup Myre grabbed a handful of fat. She looked down at her belly with an even wider smile. She penciled in light stretch marks and added a speech bubble: 'I owe this all to Myre's Icecream'.

The door lock released with a heavy ka-chunk. The upbeat tune she hummed echoed off the heavy wooden supports above. With an exaggerated motion she swung her apron around and tied it. The image of her morning drawing stuck with her. In her mind's eye she emblazoned the logo on all of her ice cream boxes. That would be so cute. I don't think it would help sales though! Hah!

With a jingle of the front door, Lucas stepped in.

"The usual?" Myre asked.

"Along with something for yourself." He pulled out his wallet and gesture toward her with it.

Without question, Myre set his half vanilla, half chocolate, caramel milkshake to blend, and scooped a serving of a heavy chocolate ice cream into a small bowl. Before the voice in the back of her mind could say 'hey... Wait a minute', she was already seated and putting a spoon full of chocolate in her mouth. She let out a satisfied sigh as the earthy sweet chocolate overwhelmed her taste buds.

Lucas slurped out of the corner of his mouth. "I hope the people at that convention enjoyed your ice cream as much as you're enjoying that."

Myre gave a sarcastic laugh and imagined the scene of a couple dozen women with bellies indulging with her ice cream. "I bet they enjoyed it more!"

"Oh yeah? Why?"

"They were enthusiastic to receive the shipment. Trust me."

"Tell me about it! I love a good story."

Myre was curt in her reply. "Not a whole lot to talk about. They gave me a good bonus. Money is always good and they all seem like very nice people."

"Oookay." Lucas took the hint and tried to maneuver to a different topic. "Sorry. Hey. I just wanted to talk. You're darn cute... Maybe you want to get something to eat sometime?"

She replied with a dry joke. "Something more than ice cream?"

"Well maybe. Or maybe we could go to a movie or something sometime." Lucas looked at her full of hope.

Myre blushed and took a bite of ice cream to buy her time to think. Oh he's just coming out to hit on me? Just like that? Well he is attractive. Mom would approve of him. Hah I certainly wouldn't mind being with him. But something is off. He's tooo pushy. Heh, the icecream thing is cute and fun but what if he does that for other things? Like why is he so insistent with asking about that convention? Also is he even interested in me? What does he really want? He keeps talking about opening a second store? Maybe he wants to invest? Or maybe he wants to make money off me? Or maybe he just likes to watch girls eat? A week ago that would have been really weird, but after that conference, maybe it's not so weird.

"So? Movie? Dinner?" Lucas tilted his head expecting a reply.

"I - no. I don't really see you in that way. You're nice and all, and the icecream is a cute gesture but... No thank you."

Lucas sighed. "Well you can't blame me. I'm still gonna keep buying ice cream though. Hopefully i can still treat you like that from time to time."

"Oh don't get me wrong, I don't dislike you, I just don't know you well enough to really consider a date... We've had maybe like an hours worth of conversation over two years and that's it.

"Heeey it's been more than an hour of time." Lucas accused.

"Okay, so like maybe three."

"That is... more fair. So I can still buy you ice cream?"

"Maybe if you're polite." Myre gave him a warm smirk.
