The last and only other time Jackie had been in the office for the department of Data Aggregation and Storage, she had been caught red handed by Marvin. Given all she'd been told about these belly communities and secret advisors, she couldn't help but think if she would have been better off just getting caught by someone else. To further sear the details into her mind she repeated what she was told to herself. So Kelri Rivera is some kind of belly fetishist. This Secret Advisor either likes or just utilizes that character trait. She's connected with Maia Thorne. She was up until recently Kelri's peer. There was something about her department's data being stolen? Oh. And then the two of them were in some kind of sex tape together? Likely they're closely involved with whatever schemes are being hatched. There is Connor, Kelri's boyfriend. He's involved somehow. Like Bonnie and Clyde? We'll see. Then there is Valerie Russell. Another former peer of Kelri. They're associated. No sex tape or anything, but she helped plan a ice cream social which led to Hugo Lipman, their former boss, getting fired. How do you fire your boss using ice cream? I'll have to find out.

Jackie took a moment to fix her outfit. There wasn't a single wrinkle on her grey suit or skirt. Staff Sergeant Burns would be proud. Ugh, maybe not with the hair. She reached up and fixed her curly black hair back into a tight bun.

After a quick knock on the door frame, She stepped into the office of Kelri Rivera. The window across from the door overlooked the main atrium of the building. From her position she could only just make out the head of the bronze statue of Einstein. Kelri's office was comfortable with a huge brown suede corner couch and heavy leather armchairs. All the horizontal surfaces were glass, held up with brass fixtures making the office glisten with reflected light from the huge windows.

Kelri's desk was huge. She imagined it should have been a small conference table, but when she took a second to examine Kelri, she saw why the desk was so big. She's got to be only five foot four. Give or take an inch. Holy shit her belly is huge. It has to be half of her body! And... And she's into that? Despite her surprise she kept a stoic smile. "Hi, I'm Jackie Martin, here to interview for the open position?"

Kelri didn't even attempt to stand. She sat up on her chair with her belly on her lap and her hands crossed a top her belly. Her shirt clung tight around her expansive and round midsection leaving no detail to the imagination. "Yes! Please come in!" She beckoned. "Take a seat."

Jackie did as instructed. She sat down into the heavy leather armchair across Kelri and neatly crossed her arms in her lap. It was only through force of will that she was able to stop staring at Kelri's gut. All the stories Marvin had mentioned about belly stuff hadn't really sunk in until she saw her.

"So," Kelri said, "So, I can see your resume. You've worked with the research center for a while so being able to transfer you over would be nice. You're obviously technically skilled with military training along with a couple degrees. Also awards in your field? Its impressive. Your competition is also skilled though. Every candidate that I'll be interviewing is an expert in their field. What I need to know is how you'll fit in here. Why should I hire you to fill my old position instead of all the others."

"Well... I've worked with computers as much as I could since I was little. Even when I didn't have a computer to work with I was doodling programs in the margins of my school papers. The math of it all. The way code compiles into a neat set of instructions for a computer to follow is fascinating and satisfying. Not a lot of people think of computer code in that way - with reverence... Jackie continued at length about how the details of how the sorting algorithms she would create would make her perfect for the job. Towards the end of a canned mini lecture about quantum sorting code, she snapped herself out and caught Kelri's eyes glazing over. Great job asshole. She thought to herself. Now she'll never hire me. She'll just think I'll bore everyone to death. Think quick.

"Oh yeah?" Kelri feigned interest.

All this is related to some asshole that like bellies right? And she apparently likes the same? Fuck it. Go for it. Jackie coughed and sat up straighter. "I know that stuff isn't all that interesting - hey can I ask you a personal question?"

Kelri perked up. "Sure. Go ahead."

"Where did you get that shirt? I mean I know it's simple, but it's cut so well - it fits you perfectly!" Jackie cringed inside. Cool. Lets ask about her plain shirt. Real interesting comment Jackie. That will work.

Kelri chuckled and put her hands on the side of her belly. "It's nothing special. Thanks though. I got it from a maternity store in the Azure Heights mega mall. I think i bought them out of all the biggest stuff they had. It's hard to find anything that will fit me these days."

Wow. Okay. Alright, let's keep that going then. I can't believe how confident she is. She should have slapped me. Jackie nodded along. "So uhh - have you considered getting custom clothes made? I bet at - I mean if you can't find anything in your size, I bet it would be sooo worth it to get some things custom fitted."

Kelri groaned. "Yeaahhhh but it's so expensive. And it's... it's a weird shape to fit for, and I bet they'd charge even more for that."

Alright so she likes compliments like that. How the hell so I compliment a belly? Maybe like this... "I think it'd be worth it. The right tailor could really emphasize your...Femininity. You'd look beautiful." She cringed inside again.

Kelri let out an amused grunt. She grabbed her phone from the desk, and checked it for a few seconds before grunting again. She took a deep breath, interlocked her fingers atop her belly, and sighed. "Well. I'm sorry to say I don't think you'd be a good fit for the position. But. I like you. We have another position on the floor open in IT. You'd probably be a little over qualified, but you'd definitely be able to do the job. It's good pay. Easy enough work. Maybe a little boring at times if you do your job well. But it's steady work."

Jackie smiled. "Sure. Great. I'll do it. It will be a great change of pace. When do I start?"
