As I walked down the corridor I could feel eyes on me and I quicken my pace to reach the main the office to collect my schedule.An elderly lady dressed in a plain blue knee length dress with her black hair speckled with gray in a neat bun looked up at me through her spectctakles."yes dear how may I help you?" She asked and I answered "I am Alexia Miller .I am new here so I came to collect my schedule". She reached into a drawer and pulled out a schedule and handed it to me and with a thanks I left the office.
I looked at my schedule and saw that I had Biology first in room 23 and so I went to look for that room . when I found it I went in and with a good morning to my Biology teacher I took a seat at the back. My Biology teacher introduced himself as Mr.Davis and told us that for this term we were only focusing on the human reproductive system. I wrote the notes and answered questions because not only was Biology one of my favorite subjects , but I had promised my mother that I would try to do my best.
After Biology I had maths followed by arts and then lunch and by then I had a friend name Jennifer Simpson .she was Cuban and spoke Spanish fluently and also she was on the school's gymnastics team which when I told her I was super flexible she persuade me to join.

As I collect my lunch I saw my twin sisters coming towards me and I was surprised when Jennifer remarked"uh cheerleaders I can't stand them. I mean I get that they lead the team , but those twins are so proud and tacky it's disgusting". I took my tray and made my way over to an empty table ,but just as I was about to sit down my twin sisters blocked my way and Clarice said " we have an empty spot on the cheer team and we need you to join. You can audition tomorrow after school .we are not asking we are telling you sister so don't be late Cheerios ". She said and they walked away and we sat down.
Looking at me Jennifer asked "what did she mean when she called you sister?" I sigh and said " um they are my step sisters .my mom married their dad so I have to live with them". She looked at me in shock and said "you don't have to do anything that they tell you , you know .if you want to join the cheer team then do it , but please audition for the gymnastics team after school today ok before you make any rash decisions".
After school I went with Jennifer Into the gymnastics studio and that's when I realized that I hadn't bought a change of clothes ."Jennifer I can't do this I don't have anything to wear". Looking at me she said" I have an extra leggings and you can wear it with your top .you are not backing out of this Alexia". I sigh and we made our way over to Jennifer's coach .she was tall with blonde hair that was wrapped in a messy bun and dressed in black leggings and Pink spegeti strap blouse ." Hey coach Alexia is new to this school , but she has decided to audition for the team can she do that please?" Jennifer asked and her coach looked at me then said" if you think that you can handle this then fine go change and let's see what you got". After changing she said "ok Alexia do a straight split,a firebird ,a handstand and a split leap". I did everything she said and then studying me carefully she said " do a cast and turn on one foot". I did as she said and looking at me she said "you have skills young lady and the team would be willing to have you if you want to join". Looking at me with pleading eyes Jennifer said "please join Alexia". I sigh and smiling said "I would be happy to be apart of this team". With a squeal of happyness Jennifer hugged me squeezing me tightly saying " you won't regret this I promise".
