2 months passed and I worked hard in school and in gymnastics .On Tuesday at lunch Jennifer said " I can't wait for our competition ". I froze midway in stuffing my face and asked " what ?" . She laughed and said
" Oh I forgot that you missed school yesterday ,um coach said that we have a competition coming up next week Friday ".
" I can't perform what if I fail ?" I groan out loud and rolling her eyes Jennifer said " relax you got this you are perfect all you need to do is to make sure that you perfect your routine".At home that evening I told my mom about my upcoming competition and smiling she said " I know you can do it Alexia my little angel .I am so proud of you for being so strong and understanding ". Smiling I said
" Thanks mom ". At dinner Clarice said " we can't wait to see you in your performance Alexia i mean it will be your first ever performance you must really be excited .as for me the upcoming cheer championship is just another show to add another trophy to my collection ". Victoria laughed and I swallowed and said " yea you are right , but at least I am not uptight and bitchy about it". I then pushed away my plate and stormed upstairs. My mom came up to check on me and then said " you really shouldn't let those girls get to you. They are your sisters whether you like it or not. I know they can be nasty sometimes , Alexia you can handle this and I don't want to see that behavior from you again". I nodded and got ready for bed after she had left.
I practiced my routine day after day until competition day and in the morning when I woke up I could feel butterflies in my stomach , but I pushed my fears aside and got ready .when I was finished I had on the below leotard and the below makeup and my the below hairstyle.
When I went downstairs to meet my mother she stared at me in awe ." You look amazing honey " she said and I smiled saying
" thank you mom". At the studio there were dozens of gymnists in colourful leotards and entertwining her hand with mine Jennifer said " you are going to do great Alexia ". It turned out that I did exceptionally well and smiling at me my coach said
" Well done Alexia . your first Competition and you have already gotten gold". I smiled and suddenly Lucas came over to me and said " well done Alexia ".
He then did a surprising thing he pulled me with him outside the studio and then said " I want to give you your prize so here it is".
He then locked lips with mine and I stood their frozen.
