I had to find a way to ensure that I wasn't at home with Steven when my mom wasn't there . It has been a month now and he hadn't stopped luckily I was smart enough to take the pills so that I didn't get pregnant because I knew it would kill my mom.
One evening as we relaxed by the pool I asked my mom if I could stay at Jennifer's house until she came from work. She had a car now that was entirely hers so there was no problem with her picking me up , though I was scared of Steven doing something to hurt her. " Of course you can honey. Jennifer seems like a really nice person as long as her parents doesn't mind you staying'. My mom answered and I smiled in relief " thanks mom".
One Tuesday after gymnastics practice I ran into Lucas and looking at me he asked " gymnastics practice ?" I nodded and asked " what about you why are you here so late ?" . He smiled and said " basketball practice ". I nodded and asked " not that's it is any of my business , but you are Clarice's boyfriend aren't you?" . He shrugged and replied
" I honestly don't know. She doesn't like me that's for sure she is only with me because of well my folks are rich and I am popular and cute so she got herself the entire package". I rolled my eyes saying " that's not fair .you can break up with her and I don't know find yourself someone better ". I said that remembering the kiss that he had given me at the compition . We hadn't spoken about it and I felt that it was best to get it out in the open." I know I should. I deserve someone like you Alexia Miller. Someone who is caring and loving and beautiful and sweet and sexy and the list goes on . I think you are right tomorrow I will break up with her". I smiled and then he asked " Alexia will you go out with me ? Saturday we can go see a movie and I don't know chill in the park for awhile". I smiled and said " sure Lucas I would love that see you tomorrow ". He kissed my cheek and left in a waiting car and as I waited on my mom to pick me up I smiled to myself thinking about Lucas .
