Amdiriel's body was ashore and though her body was there her mind was not.
"Amdi. Amdi. Amdiriel, you must wake." She heard a female voice say. Amdiriel groaned "Five more minutes." The voice that had called her then laughed. Amdiriel shot up, she knew that laugh. She turned and saw the woman in front of her. The woman's face glowed while her brown hair flowed perfectly and her brown eyes were full of life. Amdiriel's eyes filled with tears. "Mother." she said and threw her arms around the woman and sobbed. The woman wrapped her arms around her daughter and held her close. "Shh, shh it's alright." she said. It took Amdiriel a few minutes but she calmed down. They pulled away from each other, her mother smiling down at her. "Oh my beautiful daughter, it had been a long time. How terrible fate has been to you." she said. "Boromir?" Amdiriel asked. "Right here, dear sister." said a deep male voice. Amdiriel jumped up as she turned. She ran and jumped in the arms of her brother who laughed and held her tight.
When her brother finally put her down she turned and looked to her mother. "I guess this means I really did die?" Her mother looked to Boromir and then back to Amdiriel who caught the look and who herself had a confused face. "You have but you are to go back." her mother told her. "What?" "You must there are people who are going to need you." Boromir said. "But I need you, I need you, both." She told them. Amdiriel's mother let her hand cup her face so she could look into her eyes "I know dear, but our time is over. You, however, are not done. Your task is not yet complete." her mother said. "I don't want to go back. I sacrificed everything for my country and look at what I got back in return, everything was ripped from me!" Amdiriel reminded them as she moved away from her mother. Her mother sighed "Darling I do not at all justify your father's actions, what he did was wrong on so many levels but you must return. If you do not than darkness will endure and conquer all maybe not in the land but in the hearts of people you love."
"Aragorn?" she asked. Her mother nodded "And others but him mostly, you were his hope, he will continue on in the war to honor you but when it ends, he will find no reason to continue on. You are his one and only without you, he will succumb to darkness...just like you nearly did."Amdiriel remembered that day she had been fighting to stay strong for so long but she was crumbling. She was finding it hard to push on and was ready to end it all as she felt the darkness creep into her mind.
Amdiriel looked to the ground that was a bright light. "I don't want to be without you." She told them as the tears filled her eyes. She just got her mother and brother back and now she was to give them up again. "You were never alone, Amdi." Boromir told her as he placed his hand on her shoulder. "Your brother is right. We are always there, we will guide you in what you must do. We will always watch over you." Her mother said. "I know it may not have been how we imagined it but we will be beside you each step of the way and we won't ever leave." Boromir told her, Amdiriel nodded her head sadly. "It is time." Her mother said. Amdiriel hugged her mother tightly "None of what happened to us is your fault, my dear. It was our time. We are so proud of the woman you are and will become. I love you so much." She told her daughter. Amdiriel didn't want to let go."I love you too." Admiriel chocked out There were so many things that they would never get to discuss expect maybe in another life. The woman pulled away but not before Amdiriel's mother placed a gentle kiss on her daughter's forehead. Amdiriel then turned to her brother. Boromir could see the tears streaming down his sister's face. "This is not the end." He told her. "Then why does it feel like it?" she asked. Boromir shook his head "It is just a goodbye until I see you again." He said with a small smile "Oh and I and Theoden are tied in duels but we have another match set for later." Boromir told her, causing Amdiriel to chuckle. "Tell him I love him?" Boromir nodded and wrapped his arms around his sister. "Be strong, look after Faramir, and reap havoc on Mordor." Boromir told his sister. Amdiriel nodded. "I love you." He whispered to her and kissed the side of her temple. "I love you too." Amdiriel whispered back. She pulled away as she felt a slow pull on her, she knew it was time. Amdiriel did not resist, she knew it was pointless to try. She watched as her mother and Boromir faded into the distance.
