Chaos ensued in all directions. The sound of grunts, battle cries, and blades on blades rang throughout the air. The years of training allowed Amdiriel's body to move without thought. She sidestepped an orc's blade just as her cousin, Elrohir's blade flew past her and into the face of the orc. Amdiriel had no time to fuss with the blood that squirted on her arm as she pulled the dagger from the dead corps while kicking it into the orcs behind them before she threw it into the stomach of the orc that was about to attack Elrohir who shared a knowing smirk with her. Amdiriel stabbed the orc in front of her before swinging to remove the head of the one next to it. Amdiriel kept a look out for those around her, quietly counting to make sure those nearest to her were still standing. Amdiriel's sword clashed with the axe of the next orc. The creature growled as he tried to aim for her head but she blocked it before she went low to slice through its legs. Amdiriel spun as she heard a screech behind her only to be met with the orc, frozen in its place before it fell to the ground motionless. Amdiriel glanced at her savior, Aragorn before she grabbed the dagger at her belt and threw it at the oncoming orc. They spoke with their eyes as they then stood back-to-back, re-engaging in the fight around them. The two moved seamlessly as they spun, fought, defended, and watched over the other and those around them.

Suddenly, a familiar screech was heard through the air. Amdiriel's eyes shot up as she watched some of the Nazgûls appear, some riding their dragons while other dragons were riderless. Amdiriel's head turned as she tried to come up with the plan as the  Nazgûl headed straight for them. Helas, the battle around them rendered them all helpless to the incoming attack. Amdiriel was forced back into the battle as an orc's blade swung at her head. She quickly ducked while moving her own across its stomach. The orc fell to the ground immediately as she then heard the stretching of eagles. "The Eagles! The Eagles are coming!" she heard as she looked up to the sky the giant bird came down from the mist of the clouds and joined into the fight with the winged beast and their riders, with it a small spark of hope as she looked to Mount Doom. Amdiriel then let her elbow fly backward into the nose of the orc behind her. She then turned, grabbing its hand, stopping the blade that was about to come down on her before she swung her sword across its stomach, using the momentum, she continued the motion, cutting into several others as she turned. Releasing the beast, she thrusted her blade upwards, slicing through the ocr flesh before her blade clashed with her next enemy. The orc blocked her first swing but faltered when she spun around and counted out his legs from under him.

A large roar was then heard by Amdiriel as she stopped and spun around to find Aragorn already charging at an armored cave troll. Amdiriel could feel her heart pounding in her chest as she pushed her way through the crowd, her eyes trained on the duel between the man and the troll. Aragorn tries to go for a fatal blow the troll blocks each of his attempts. After what feels like a lifetime, Amdiriel joins his side. Aragorn sidestepped the troll as it tried to bring its blade down on him, he then swung at the arm holding the troll's sword, causing the creature to cry out in pain but not let go of his blade. The creature started to thrust its blade upwards but Aragorn countered slashing his own against it. Amdiriel swung at the same arm that Aragorn had just hit, cutting deeper into its flesh. This time the creature dropped his weapon as it screeched in pain, the troll brought its other fist back attempting to swing at the couple but Aragorn ducked out of the way while Amdiriel saw her chance and jumped onto the creature. Aragorn is about to yell at her but then remembers she had done something similar in the Moria. He turns to see if he can find his elf friend but he is engaged in the fight around him and too far away. Aragorn knew it would be too late. The troll let out a roar as it tried to reach for Amdiriel, now on its back. Aragorn and Amdiriel locked eyes for a moment as Aragorn reached for his elven dagger. Amdiriel then drove her sword into the back of the troll. The cry of pain filled the air as the creature thrashed, it then got hold of Amdiriel who was trying to hold on, and threw her to the ground. Aragorn let out a war cry as his blade then flew through the air and into the throat of the troll. Its cries stopped as it then fell to the ground dead.
