Chapter 6: Horrible and Great Start (Rose POV)

The next morning someone was lightly tapping on me. I woke up and saw James. I got up and hugged him. He said, "My Mum and Dad told me what happened. It'll be fine Rose. But I think you should talk to Hugo, he looks exhausted and won't talk to anyone. We all think he'll talk to you because you actually are going through the same thing." I let go of him, "Thanks James, I'll talk to him. But first what time is it?" James responded with, "It's 8:00, we leave at 10:00 so you have two hours." I nod and walk out and go downstairs. I see Hugo, I give a small smile and go up to him.

He jumped on me. I hugged back, "Hugo it's fine. Let's go eat and get ready. We'll talk on the train." He let go and nodded going back upstairs and I followed. We all got ready and came downstairs for breakfast. We sat at the table then Uncle Harry asked, "Do you two know what happened?" I responded with, "I don't really, they were arguing like normal so I didn't listen to what they were saying then Dad screamed, 'It's not my fault!' then Mum yelled back, 'You know what?! Leave.' Then Dad yelled, 'I'm not going to leave!' After My Mum yelled, 'You didn't seem to have a problem with it last time.' Then we went upstairs, grabbed our things and came here." Hugo then spoke, "I heard Dad say a name. He said Lavender I think that's what it was." Uncle Harry then looked at Auntie Ginny and nodded to upstairs. I said, "No I want to know." Uncle Harry nodded. "Well Lavender is your Dad's ex-girlfriend, your Mum was so upset when they were together. She made birds attack your Dad then started crying when him and Lavender got together. But Lavender passed away during the war." I just nodded and Hugo did nothing. I think he was so upset because he re-lived it from me telling what happened.

We all ate without talking then drove in a muggle car to Kings Cross. We went to Platform 9 ¾ I walked onto the train right away giving my Aunt and Uncle a hug.

We were on the train and me and Hugo went in a compartment and I talked to him all about it. In the end he seemed better. We had 3 hours until the train got to Hogwarts and me and Hugo changed into our robes. We sat down and then I asked, "Hugo why do you look so tired?" He answered, "Well I got no sleep last night." I put his head on my shoulder, "Sleep, I'll wake you up when we get there." He fell asleep right away.

Then Roxanne and Dominique came in and sat across from me. Roxy said, "Hey we heard what happened..." I looked at her and said, "Who told you?" Dom answered this time she said, "Well James did because Louis was going to come and get you guys and he said not to and no one would stop asking why. So he told us." I nodded and said, "I took it better then Hugo though. I mean he's only 13 so I know it's harder at a younger age." They gave me a questioning look. I answered, "Well he didn't sleep and he was the one crying while they argued. He also wouldn't talk to anyone at first in the morning well except me. Probably because it's happening to me too and he knows I understand." I continued, "And guys can you make sure no one says anything about it. I don't want to make Hugo more upset than he already is." Dom nodded and Roxy said, "Yeah sure." Then they left the compartment.

The train stopped a little later. I woke up Hugo. We got out and went on carriages. I went with Al and Malfoy, me and Scorpius argued for a while then I got mad and yelled, "YOU'RE A PRAT MALFOY!" He responded with, "I'M NOT A PRAT YOU'RE JUST A BRAT WHO ONLY CARES ABOUT HERSELF!" I got so mad at this, I am never selfish. We got off the carriage and I yelled, "ME? YOU'RE THE ONE WHO'S GETTING MAD BECAUSE YOUR DAD IS DATING SOMEONE! SEEMS LIKE YOU ONLY CARE ABOUT YOURSELF!" I knew I didn't mean what I said. I was just so mad at him. He yelled back, "THORNE, YOUR MUM'S STILL ALIVE YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING YOU CAN'T EVEN IMAGINE WHAT IT'S LIKE!" I know I don't know what it's like so I changed the topic, "I DON'T KNOW HOW ALBUS CAN PUT UP WITH YOU! YOU'RE SO RUDE AND ALSO A PLAYBOY." I felt bad but ignored it then he yelled, "I BET YOU'RE JUST JEALOUS OF THOSE GIRLS." I got so mad I couldn't believe it I shouted back, "YOU ASSHOLE, I'M-"
