Spring Fling Kiss- Cady

"Aaron I would love to but I-I have to get in there and find Janis, s-she wont answer my texts and I can't live with myself until I make it right." He grabbed my shoulders, "I respect that, When I reach maximum jackass you run in." Then he kissed me. It was hot and awkward for me, he's a good kisser but was it weird that I was hoping when I opened my eyes it would be Janis with her hands on my face not Aaron. "I can only do this for you." He said running off through the crowd doing something so stupid. He would be a good friend and I'm sure he will understand. He did an amazing job distracting the teacher, I'd have to thank him later. I sprint out of the gymnasium first heading to the bathrooms to look for Janis, I get into the bathroom and realise that its not Janis in here but Regina George. I have a lovely conversation with her and apologised to me and I tried to apologise to her but she didn't accept it. She then leaves and I'm stuck trying to think where I might find Janis, I pull out my phone and text Damien.

C: DAMIEN PLEASE WHERE ARE YOU I FUCKED UP AND CAN'T FIND JANIS AND SHE REFUSES TO RESPOND AND I HAVE TO APOLOGISE

D: Yeah Cady, You did "Fuck Up" but I can forgive you- I don't know about Janis though.

C: Damien, I like Janis so please tell me where you are because I have to fix things

D: That's good I guess, you should like her she's your friend

C: NO DAME, I LIKE HER AS IN I WANT TO FIND HER AND KISS HER LIKE

D: OH 

D: She's with me and we're already inside 

With that she stuffed her phone in her pocket and sprinted into the School Hall, the nominee's for King and Queen were being called onto the stage but she sees her, "Janis!" She looks at me. I sprint over to her grabbing her shoulder. She shrugs me off "Not now Cady, me and my date are hooking up" She moves to kiss Damien who in turn spins her and pushes towards me "Ew Janis."I half catch her as she stumbles into me. I grab her collar and place a kiss to her lips. She pulls back and smiles at me. That's when my name is called. Janis  pushes me forward and go onto the stage. I feel so stupid, here in a mathletes jacket.  I step forward in front of the microphone. "I think everyone voted for me because they all think I pushed someone under a bus, which is terrible." A voice piped up. "That was my fault don't apologise!" I blush and smile awkwardly "No," I say, "I wont. What is my fault though, is how I treated my friend. Janis. I'm sorry." I feel the tears begin to well up in my eyes but I refuse to let myself cry. "I lied to you and I left you out, and if we're not friends anymore- I understand, and I'll still treat you with dignity because, I love you Janis Sarkisian." I was cut off by the head telling me I 'Wasn't required to make a speech. "I'm almost done, I promise. When I moved here I wanted everyone to like me so bad I lost myself in the process. We all do that. I think-I think we think we have to change ourselves to be good enough but-" I pause and look at Janis and see Damien giving me a thumbs up. "Looking at you guys from up here- I wish you could see it, Its awesome." I begin to cry. "You know most people just take the crown" Interjected the Head yet again. "Right the crown." I look at it. "Up here in this light it could be platinum, but its actually kinda dumb. We could really just share it." I break the crown. Everyone gasps in shock. "Cheap, fake. Easy to break. That's how I used to be." I gesture to Regina "Here, take it." I throw it to the Ex plastics. "Now I'm awake. I'll tell you what I see." I look at Janis now aiming this to her "Plastic don't shine, glitter don't shine, rhinestones don't shine, not the way you do." I now look to Karen and Gretchen."You are so real and you are so rare." And then to Regina. "I see you there, I see you. I see stars." I'm crying as I speak "So many stars tonight. You could make diamonds dull." I look back to Janis to see her head leaning on Damien's shoulder, his arm around her both of them smiling fondly at me. "You are so beautiful." I say to Janis, throwing them a piece of the crown. "I see stars" I whisper. 

I jump down off the platform still talking to everyone. Then I walk over to Janis. "Its me and you, not us and her." Then she kisses me. Her hands tangling in my hair and I just hold onto her waist in an attempt to remain to stay upright. She rakes her hands down my back and my mouth opens in a silent gasp. She took advantage of that, slipping her tongue into my mouth and deepening the kiss. I lift my arms so i'm holding her shoulders as I don't think I can support myself anymore. She places her hands on my waist before pulling me in closer to her, I never want to move. I won't break the kiss I'll die here kissing Janis. I think she realised I wouldn't break the kiss so she does. Leaning her forehead against mine both of us trying to catch our breath. Then Damien starts cheering "My two baby gays finally realised how head over heels they are." "Shut it Dame" Janis replies pushing him lightly. She laces her fingers through mine and she asks if we want to get out of here. I nod. Janis begins to pull me out of the school hall and in that moment my life felt complete. Damien grabbed my arm so he wouldn't get left behind. I had Janis and Damien and Janis wasn't going to get bullied by anyone again if I could help it.  I was so head over heels in love with her.
