"He was outside your house?" Jessica hissed as she closed Amelia's office door and took a seat across from her.
Amelia nodded with a pained expression "Stood there like I owed him the time of the day Jessica. I wanted to say more, I wanted to let him have it but I couldn't" and she placed her head into hands and groaned.
Having imagined the moment for weeks she had hoped that she would of at least got some answers but instead she spat the word coward at him and left.
"At least you said something and you can cut ties with this now. It's time to move on" Jessica said as she leaned over and placed a hand on her friends shoulder.
"Move on?" Amelia laughed "He knows where I live" and Amelia began thinking about moving again but decided she wouldn't give him the satisfaction.
"Fuck him!" Jessica hissed "He's just trying to get under your skin"
But why? Amelia thought. Why now after all this time? Was it because he saw her leaving The Eden club and he had to have the last word?
Before Amelia could speak her phone rang again. Huffing Amelia ripped up the phone and placed it to her ear.
"Hello?"
"Amelia? it's Ada-"
"Oh hello Ada!"
"Look I can't talk but there's something you should know. Your house....it's been burned down. There's a fire engine outside of it now putting the last embers out love"
Amelia felt her throat tighten instantly and she almost dropped the phone. Why would her house have been burned down? It didn't make sense until she remembered who had visited her this morning.
"Amelia?" Ada called after the silence had gone on too long.
"I'll sort it Ada. Thanks for letting me know. I've got to go" and she hung up on her friend.
"The bastard burnt my house down!" Amelia hissed to Jessica as she began grabbing up her things.
"Amelia wait!"
"Where the hell are my gloves?" she hissed to herself as she began searching her coat pockets.
"Amelia I know what you're thinking. You're going to go back there. It's what he wants. Look, get James to take care of it and stay here"
Amelia stopped and looked at her friend "I'm not involving anyone else in this business. I will be back before tomorrow night. I need to see this for myself Jessica"

The train journey had been long and it didn't help that Amelia was sat in a carriage on her own. It left her with too much time to think, it left her feeling nervous about returning to the place she fled only three months ago. Would it feel different?
Then she thought about her lovely little house that she had made a home in her short time there. The house was full of painful memories but it was hers. It was the first place since returning from the war that she felt calm and now it was nothing but dust.
Tommy Shelby was retaliating for her insult towards him, she was certain of it. As she stepped off the platform and out of the big archway she saw a familiar face leaned up against a brand new bentley. Polly Gray was stood there in all her greatness wearing a fitted suit and sunglasses.
"Hello love" she greeted as she made her way over with a cigarette dangling from her ruby red lips.
"Polly, it's so nice to see you"
"I wish it was on better terms love" she said as she motioned towards the car. Both women made their way over and got in.
"What's the damage?" Amelia asked with a sarcastic laugh
