Amelia stared at Ada for what felt like hours as she discussed what was going to happen moving forward. Who would of believed that eight hours ago she was stepping into her house in London and now she was here, back with them, back in the midst of it all.
"I can't stay here. I'll go back to my parents house-"
"That's not safe" Ada breathed as she pulled Amelia out of the house to get some fresh air.
Amelia felt the cold air hit her face and suddenly felt alive again.
"Neither is being here with Tommy" She grumbled.
"I know it's not ideal. I know what happened on your last meeting...but it's all you have Amelia, listen to me, they want you to pay. It won't be quick"
Amelia looked away so that her friend could not see the panic spreading across her face. The thought of having to be in the same house as Tommy was inconceivable. It was only two weeks ago that she said she wanted nothing to do with him and now she would be living with him. Amelia would be under his protection.
The suspicious side of her wondered whether this was part of his plan, save her from the Italians and prove that he won't leave when it gets hard. Amelia wasn't scared of what Luca Changretta could do to her, she was scared of what he could do to Tommy's family.
Fear of death was a passing train for Amelia. A new one came every hour.
"You know Tommy's right- this makes sense. Changretta wants you two, more than he does us. If Tommy can see you at all times you both might stand a chance"
Amelia whirled around to her friend in shock. Ada had never once took his side.
"Ada! you traitor" she gasped.
Ada gently pushed her friends shoulder "It's hard not to side with him when he's the only one making sense" and Ada sighed as she looked out to the grounds.
"What do you mean?"
"I love you Amelia, love you like your my own blood but you're wrong about this. Wrong about Tommy. You're the only woman on this planet who can hurt him. Does that not say it all?"
Amelia was dumbfounded to say the least at her friends switch of sides but she was too hurt to respond. Instead she simply nodded to say she had heard her friend but she wasn't ready to reply.
"I'll be with Polly if you need me. The number is by Tommy's phone" Ada said as she squeezed Amelia's arm before going back into the house. "Try not to kill my brother, we need him this time"
Amelia stood there silently for a few minutes, her hand going up to her throat that was throbbing from the pain of being stabbed with a needle. Then she stared out to the long winding road that led up the house she was now trapped in and wondered how long it would take before Luca Changretta made his way to them.

It was Mary, Tommy's house assistant who was the first to show her to her room which faced the back of the house. It was also coincidentally close to the master bedroom which Tommy slept in. Amelia was pretty certain he didn't spend much time sleeping so she had a floor to herself.
As she stepped into the room there was numerous suitcases which she quickly realised where from her home in London. They had packed her up and shipped her out so fast that her head began to spin.
Excusing herself from Mary she locked the bedroom door and sat on the bed. The room was huge, the colors calm and inviting but she felt everything spin. The room was too big and it made her feel lonely.
Laying down she decided to close her eyes just for a few seconds of peace. The day swirling over and over again, throwing up questions that she didn't have the answer too. Shortly after she closed her eyes she fell asleep.
